Drivers must take reasonable caution during the start of the race. Whilst there is a degree of leeway for the responsibility of collisions during the first lap due to the lack of field spread, reckless and irresponsible driving will result in severe post-race penalties.
During the race, a car being blue flagged is not obliged to yield immediately as per other racing series. Cars being lapped may hold their line but must NOT defend their position against an attempted overtake from the lapping car. If the lapping car has not been able to complete an overtake for 1 full lap and remains within 1 second of the car receiving blue flags, then the car receiving blue flags must then yield position. It is the duty of the attacking car to make a clean and responsible overtake, however any defending move which results in a collision will be considered the fault of the lapped car. If the car that is being lapped refuses to yield to the lapping car after the course of a full racing lap, then the matter will be referred to the @ANIMUS Steward Team under the case of impeding another car.
In addition to the game’s track limits system, track limits will be defined by the solid white lines which border the track, including kerbs where applicable. Where there are no white lines present, the track limits will be defined as the edge of the tarmac or other racing surface. Should a driver leave the track for any reason, it is their responsibility to re-enter the track in a SAFE manner and not impede other cars. This may involve applying the brakes and remaining stationary until it is safe to re-join. Any driver that joins the track in an unsafe manner which causes a collision or another car to take evasive action will face severe post-race penalties.
It is important to turn on your cars headlights during any night portion of a race if you have them set to manual. Any instance of headlights being off will be grounds for a penalty and be dealt with accordingly by the @ANIMUS Steward Team. Drivers are encouraged to report any instance of another driver racing with headlights turned off in a night race.
All drivers must respect the solid white line which separate both the pit lane entry and exit from the racetrack. Failure to do so will result in post-race penalties.
