MotorsportUK Esports – Rookie Sports Car Cup Event Terms and Conditions:
Definitions:
Driver(s): means the Driver(s) put forward by the Team to drive andcompete on their behalf in the Event.
Event: meansall five Rounds of the Championship as detailed in Clause 12.
Championship: means the 2024 Rookie Sports Car Cup
Motorsport UK: means Motorsport UK Association Limited (company number01344829) whose registered office address is 141 The Command Works SouthernAvenue, Bicester Heritage, Bicester, England, OX27 8FY.
Organisers: means Motorsport UK.
Stewards: means the judicial body at the Event responsible for ensuringthese Terms and Conditions and driving standards are adhered to during the Eventand to allocate penalties.
Team: means the sim racing team entered.
1. Introduction1.1 The Event isorganised and owned by Motorsport UK (the ‘Organisers’).
1.2 The Organisershave the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
1.3 The Organisershave the right to cancel the Event at any time. Should the Organisers cancelthe Event a refund of the paid Motorsport UK esports membership shall not berefunded.
1.4 The Event isan esports Championship which will be organised through The SimGrid* website.
1.5 Clarification,interpretation and determination of any rules and these terms and conditionsshall be decided by the Organisers.
1.6 By enteringand taking part in the Event you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
1.7 Drivers arerequired to provide their own hardware and software equipment to compete in theEvent.
1.8 Driver entrieswill be accepted at the sole discretion of the Organisers.
1.9 The quality ofthe internet connection being used by the Driver to compete in the Event is thesole responsibility of the Driver. Should any internet connection issues resultin an unnatural performance of the car the Organiser will have the right toremove the Driver from the Event and record a DNF result.
1.10 All Drivers must adhere to theMotorsport UK Race with Respect code of conduct which can be found here. All Teams and Drivers must read this before entering the race. Breachof this code may lead to expulsion from the race.
2. Registration and Entry2.1 Drivers are required to enter the Event
2.2 Driversmust be over the age of 15
2.3 Each Driverthat participates in the Event will be required to hold a paid Motorsport UKEsports membership (£24.99).
2.4 Anyentry that is incomplete or which contains offensive material or is otherwisespoiled shall be discarded and or rejected as not complying with these Termsand Conditions and shall be void.
2.5 Driversare permitted to make changes to their entry any number of times prior to the DriverChanges Deadline.
2.6 The ‘DriverChanges Deadline’ is 12:00 BST on Monday 1st July, before the startof the Event.
2.7 The carclasses are as follows:
· MX-5 Cup
· GR86 CUP
2.8 Bothclasses are on track at the same time but are scored separately
2.9 AnyDriver can enter either class
3. EventDetails
3.1 TheEvent timetable is as follows:
• Drivers Briefing – 18:15 BST
• Practice – 18:30 BST
• Qualifying - 19:00 BST- (LoneQualifying, 3 Laps, 10 Minutes)
• Race 1 – 19:15 – 19:35 BST
• Warmup - 19:55 – 20:00 BST
• Race – 20:00 – 20:20 BST
3.2 Thein-sim game time will vary from race to race and is outlined in the Championshipcalendar. The weather will be set to "Realistic" and dynamic sky willbe enabled. The chance of rain will be set to 0% for all sessions and allsessions after practice will have marbles set to 'Carry Over'.
3.3 TheEvent Rules are as follows:
· Standing Starts
· Fast Repairs: 1 (per race)
· Minimum Licence: Class D 2.0
· Maximum iRating achieved (in either Sports Car orSingle Seater) 2,000
· Drive through Penalty given after 15x incidentpoints and then every 10x after that
· Strict Qualifying in game scrutineering
· No tyre usage restrictions
· One dropped Round - best 4 round scores willcount to your championship points
4.Stewarding
4.1 TheEvent will be stewarded by iRacing's inbuilt automated stewarding system and theOrganisers will have a number of Stewards on hand to review incidentsthroughout each race.
4.2 To have an incident reviewed,protests must be submitted through the Google Form located here https://forms.gle/Eskcf32qDfmg3prh8and the Stewards will review it and confirm the outcome in game and in theDiscord server.
PLEASENOTE: Drivers wills have a maximum of 3 protests available foreach Round.
4.3The Stewards and / or Motorsport UK will only consider penalising driving that hasresulted in a car being towed to the pits to be repaired ('Meatballed') ormultiple positions have been lost by deliberately crashing and / ordisrespectful driving.
5 Scoring
5.1 Winners will be chosen based on finishing position.
5.2 The amount of points allocated per class are outlined in Clause 11.
6. Liveries
6.1Each Driver is allowed to use their own liveries for each race, this will berun through Trading Paints
6.2 All liveries usedmust adhere to the iRacing Paint Policy found here (policy updated08/12/21)
6.3Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom liverywill see the team banned from the race.
7. Prizes
7.1 x10Pairs of F33L SR2 Gloves have been supplied to provide as prizes for thechampionship
7.2 x1 pairof gloves per class per round are available to win
7.3 Aftereach Round one driver in each class will be selected at random out of all ofthe drivers who have finished both races of the Round
7.4 Driversmust be classed as ‘Running’ in the final iRacing race results to be classed asfinishing the race
7.5 Driverswill be contact via Discord to issue the Prize
8.Broadcasting
8.1 Round 5of the Championship will be broadcast with commentary courtesy of RaceSpot TVon the RaceSpot TV YouTube channel and on Motorsport UK TV
8. Conduct
8.1 Driversor Teams posting negative, disruptive and/or brand-damaging content on socialmedia about the following may result in the Team being disqualified from theEvent.
8.2 AllDrivers and Teams are expected to respect fellow Competitors, the Organisersand any others associated with the Event.
8.3 Discriminationof any kind; bullying; abusive / aggressive behaviour or inappropriate behaviourwill not be tolerated and will lead to penalties or disqualification from theEvent.
9.Interview Rules
9.1 Teamsmay be called to interview either pre-race, mid-race (when not driving) orpost-races.
9.2 Teamsmust provide at least one Team representative (Driver or manager) to interviewif an interview is requested by the Organisers or The SimGrid.
9.3 Anypre-race interviews will be arranged ahead of time with the Teams.
9.4 If Teamscannot provide a representative to participate in a mid-race interview whenrequested then this must be communicated to the Organisers.
9.5 All Teamsagree to provide at least one Driver per Team, who finish in positions 1-3 ofany race to participate in post-race interviews.
9.6 Teamsare reminded that all race interviews are broadcast live, and thus all; offensive/unsportsmanlikeand defamatory comments made during interviews are prohibited and may bepenalised.
9.7 Theabove conditions do not solely apply to the race but also apply to qualifying.
10. Data Protection
10.1 TheTeam and Driver confirms permission for the Organisers to request and use theirpersonal data as necessary for the limited purposes of the Championshipincluding the publication of their name and / or likeness where applicable.
10.2 Shouldthe entry include the submission of a third party’s personal data the entrantconfirms they have the permission of that third party to do so and that theseTerms and Conditions have been brought to that persons’ attention.
10.3 TheOrganisers may have to share the personal data of any winner and guest withthird parties for the purpose of issuing the Prizes.
