ENTRY INFORMATION

Welcome to the first ever championship by Motorsport UK Esports aimed at new/less experienced drivers, using cars and tracks included within the standard iRacing membership.

Please note the following points before entering this Championship

  • All drivers must be 16 years old or over
  • Please note this championship is for drivers who have never reached 2,000 iRating at any point (on any account)
  • All drivers must hold a paid Motorsport UK Esports Membership (£24.99 for 12 months) - Info and sign up here - https://esports.motorsportuk.org/membership/ 
  • There is no additional entry fee for this event

OVERVIEW

This championship takes in two iconic UK circuits alongside 3 global circuits, all of which are included in the standard iRacing membership. This means drivers will not be required to pay anything extra for content to enter this championship.

There are two classes in this Sports Car Cup with the Mazda MX-5 Cup car alongside the Toyota GR86 Cup. Both car classes are treated separately in terms of points allocation.

Each driver is free to choose either car.

Once you register you will be allocated a Discord role for this championship - where all information will be communicated.

REGISTRATION

To register for this event, click the "Register" button. On the next screen, select your class, car and race number.

EVENT TIMETABLE

  • Tuesday Evenings
  • Drivers Briefing - 6:15pm BST
  • Practice - 6:30pm BST
  • Qualifying - 7:00pm BST - (Lone Qualifying, 3 Laps, 10 Minutes)
  • Race 1 - 7:15pm - 7:35pm BST
  • Warmup - 7:50pm - 7:55pm BST
  • Race 2 - 8:00pm - 8:20pm BST

F33L Gloves have kindly joined the championship as official prize partner and are providing x10 of their SR2 Sim Racing Gloves

One pair of gloves will be awarded to a driver in each class selected at random out of all the drivers who finish both races of that round. Drivers must be classed as 'Running' by iRacing in the final results to be counted as finishing a race.

If you are a lucky winner you are then ineligible to win another pair at a later Round.

STEWARDING

The championship will rely heavily on iRacing's inbuilt automated stewarding system however, as with most Motorsport UK community events we will have post race stewarding process. All incidents must be reported by a driver no later than 30 minutes after the Race 2.

To have an incident reviewed, you must submit any protests through the protest form here form located here and the stewards will review it and confirm the outcome during or after the race in the Discord server.

PLEASE NOTE: Each driver has a maximum of 2 protests available to you for each race.

BROADCASTING

The Final Round of the championship will be broadcast LIVE on RaceSpot TV and Motorsport UK TV

EVENT RULES

  • Standing Starts
  • Fast Repairs: 1 per race
  • Fixed setups
  • Minimum Licence: Rookie 1.0
  • Maximum iRating ever achieved 2,000
  • Drive Through Penalty after 15x incident points and then every 10x after that
  • Strict qualifying in game scrutineering
  • No tyre usage restrictions
  • One dropped round - your best 4 round scores will count to your championship points

WEATHER

As this championship is designed for new drivers there will be NO RAIN.

The weather will be set to realistic but with the chance of rain set to 0%. Track state will be set to 'Generate' and Track Marbles to 'Carry over'

CUSTOM LIVERIES

All drivers are allowed to use their own liveries for each race, this can be done through Trading Paints.

All drivers must have permission (produced if requested) for any logo that is displayed on their car

All liveries used must adhere to the iRacing Paint Policy found here (policy updated 08/12/21)

Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see the team banned from the race.
