Newbridge E-Sports driver etiquette

  • Respect yourself and respect each other. We expect you all to be respectful to one another both on track and here within the server. If you are unable to be respectful you will be asked to leave.

  • Race cleanly at all times. Certain contact can be seen as racing, but that is a fine line and drivers should err on the side of caution. If you cannot control your car, yourself, and be safe on track, your participation will be affected.

  • Avoidable contact is just that, avoidable. If you get called for it, improve on your next time out.

  • Deliberately crashing into another car will result in being excluded from Newbridge E-Sports Servers/events.

  • No matter what class of car, it is imperative that ALL drivers maintain their discipline and composure whilst racing. It is the obligation of each participant to be AWARE, PATIENT, RESPECTFUL, and CLEAN. If you are asked to improve on any one of these, please do. Lack of any of these could affect your ability to participate in our events.

  • We understand things like penalties and lap 1 incidents can be discouraging, but we ask that drivers do their best to persevere through these challenges and complete the events they sign-up for. Every lap is a chance to improve!

  • Be aware of cars on a flying lap. This means that cars on outlaps, inlaps or invalidated laps are expected to move off the racing line without ruining the approaching car's lap

  • It is the driver’s own responsibility to find a suitable window to set their flying lap. Approaching a slower car on its own flying lap does not give either driver priority. A slower car could let the faster car by, but is not obligated to do so.

  • In MULTICLASS races, we ask GT4 cars to stay on the racing line so that they are more predictable. This does not mean that GT4 cars own the racing line. A GT3 is always faster, therefore, stay on the racing line and let the pass happen as quickly and as safely as possible. Never turn in on a faster GT3 car that is passing you or try and race them.

  • GT3 drivers should also remain patient and avoid lines or moves that could create contact. It comes down to RESPECT for yourself and your fellow competitor.

  • Make your move clear and early. Moving late gives the chasing car no time to react. Multiple defensive moves and are strictly prohibited.

  • The BLUE FLAG indicates to the driver that a faster/leading car is approaching and that they should make way. Please do so quickly and as safely as possible. Failing to let cars by will be considered blocking.
