COACH DAVE 1000 TERMS & CONDITIONS
The protection of the dignity of the individual involved in Sim Racing is a fundamental construct of the Coach Dave 1000 championship. The specific rules for the behaviour of drivers and teams (and their associates) in the Coach Dave 1000 championship are as follows;
- Entry Fee
- Every team that participates in the Coach Dave 1000 championship will be required to pay the entry fee.
- The entry fee is $75.00 + VAT for Silver and Am split.
- The entry fee is $100.00 + VAT for Pro split.
- Teams who must go through the qualification process must be prepared to pay the entry fee upon successful qualification.
- Entry fees are only refundable if the team withdraws from the series before the series starts.
- Prize Money
- Each split (Pro, Silver, Am) in the Coach Dave 1000 championship will have a prize pool.
- The prize pool amounts in each split will only be finalised once the registration of all teams has been completed.
- Each splits prize pool will be split between the Top 10 of splits final championship standings.
- All prize money winning teams will be contacted via Discord and requested to provide payment details in order to receive their prize money - either PayPal or Bank Transfer.
- SimGrid may request an invoice. If requested, an invoice must be submitted before any prize money can be paid.
- SimGrid will pay out all owed prize money within 30 days of the championship ending, providing all payment details have been provided.
- Logo Placement.
- 1 x “SimGrid” Logo must be present on the doors of the competing car. It should be visible for broadcast purposes and thus of a reasonable size.
- 1 x “Coach Dave 1000” Logo must be present on the rear wing endplates of the competing car. It should be visible for broadcast purposes and thus of a reasonable size.
- The Series Organisers will be available for contact by teams, whereby there is a need for clarification or reviewal required of logo placement.
- Interview Rules.
- Teams must provide at least one team representative (driver or manager) to interview if an interview is requested by the Series Organiser.
- Teams may be called to interview either pre-race, mid-race or post-race.
- Any pre-race interviews will be arranged ahead of time with the teams.
- If teams cannot provide a representative to participate in a mid-race interview when requested then this must be communicated to the Series Organiser.
- All teams agree to provide at least one driver per team, who finish in positions 1-3 of any race to participate in post-race interviews.
- This extends to the teams who are 1-3 in the championship standings following the final round of the series, who will be required to provide one Driver and one Team Representative for post-race interviews.
- Teams are reminded that all race interviews are broadcast live, and thus all; Offensive/Unsportsmanlike and defamatory comments made during interviews may be penalised.
- The above conditions do not solely apply to the race but also apply to qualifying.
- Social Media Conduct
- Drivers posting negative, disruptive and/or brand-damaging content on social media about the following may result in the team being disqualified from the series:
- Coach Dave 1000
- Race Administration, Stewards or any series staff.
- Assetto Corsa Competizione (In the sphere of the Coach Dave 1000 Series)
- Fellow Teams & Drivers of the series.
- Any faults of Game Software/Broadcast Failure or similar, pertaining to the Coach Dave 1000 championship.
- Driver Line-Up Changes and Admin Fee
- Teams are permitted to make changes to their entry any number of times if carried out before the “Driver Changes Deadline”.
- Failure to pay this admin fee before the start of the race will result in the team being disqualified from the race.
- This fee is reflective of any number of driver changes i.e a team wishing to change 1 driver and a team wishing to change both drivers would pay $10USD in both instances.
- The “Driver Changes Deadline” is 16:00 GMT on Saturday, one week before the next round.
- Reminders of the changes deadline will be communicated to the teams by the Series Organisers via Discord.
- Each time a change is made to a team's entry after the deadline, the team will be required to pay a $10USD admin fee.
- General Conduct
- All drivers are expected to respect the rights, dignity and worth of all competition participants, regardless of; Ability, Gender, Cultural Background or any factor that may lead to discrimination. Some key points that are reflected in the rules but are especially important are;
- Do not bully or conduct unsportsmanlike behaviour to other competitors.
- Verbal Abuse, Provocation or aggression towards other competitors or Series Organisers are explicitly forbidden and will result in penalties and/or disqualification.
- In the event that you disagree with a decision of Race Control, please use the official channels to communicate with Series Organisers.
