Welcome to the Coach Dave 1000, one of the biggest endurance series held on Assetto Corsa Competizione!
The Coach Dave 1000 is an endurance series of 5 1000km (6h) races. For this first season, 3 splits will provided (Pro split, Silver split and Am Split) and each split will hold 44 teams of 3 drivers. That's 396 drivers racing every round and a total of 5000km of racing to determine the champion!
The teams will venture across virtual Europe, starting off at Barcelona in Spain, then to Imola in Italy, Nurburgring in Germany, Silverstone in England and then back to Italy once more for the finale at... Monza!
To register for this championship, click the "Register Team" button. On the next screen, select your team, the drivers of the car, the split you qualified for/are invited to, the car and the desired car #.
After selecting this information, you will then be taken to Stripe to make the payment.
If your team has not been invited to enter the Coach Dave 1000, your team must first go through the Coach Dave 1000 Qualifiers.
Do not register to the series if you have not been invited OR have successfully qualified to take part. If you have successfully qualified through the qualification process, ensure you register to the correct split.
All teams that successfully qualify or are invited to enter the Coach Dave 1000 must pay the entry fee. The entry fee for Silver split and Am split is $75. The entry fee for Pro split is $100.
Each of the three splits will come with a prize pool. Each splits prize pool will be divided between the Top 10:
The prize pools for each split cannot be confirmed until after the qualification phase as the amount is dependant on the number of registered teams.
A split must have a minimum of 40 teams. Splits may be expanded to a maximum of 48 teams if required.
Min/Max prize pools per split are as follows:
All teams that enter the series must agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions of the series.
Both splits will have both live and post race stewarding.
Stewards will investigate collisions themselves, however teams can use the Report forms made available in the discord channel "#protests" to report any non-collision rule violations and bring them to the attention of the stewards.
Teams will also get the opportunity to appeal against a penalty they received. Teams are limited to only 3 appeals in the entire season and the appeals will only be reviewed post-race as appeals are viewed by an independent party who was not involved in the original decision.
All qualifying and races of the Pro split will have broadcast and commentary on the SimGrid Youtube channel.
Pro split will also have live timing on the SimGrid PitWall server.
The Coach Dave 1000 Series will use newly introduced regulations. These new regulations will see smaller punishments for minor transgressions, allow drivers to race against each other a bit harder within the rules, but the revised licence points system will see repeat offending teams/drivers be punished in a much more severe manner than ever before.
For the full regulations, please click here
There are no mandatory pit stops, however a stint timer of 65 minutes will be in place. If a driver does not make a pit stop before the end of the stint limit, then the game will issue a penalty.
Maximum driving time is 185 minutes (3h 5min).
Points will be awarded to the Top 22 of each race. The amount of points scored in each position can be seen here.
This is a driver swap series where each team is required to have 3 drivers at each race. However, in the event that a driver is unavailable, there are 3 options available to the team:
Custom liveries made outside of the game are permitted in this series but please bear in mind that they are not officially supported by the game's developers.
Pro split will be live streamed on YouTube and custom liveries can be shared to the stream broadcaster in a dedicated channel on discord.
If your team wishes to run with a custom livery, the livery must follow the requirements detailed in Article 3 of the Terms & Conditions.
The logos can be found in the assets folder available in the discord channel "Custom Livery Assets".
Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see the team banned from the series.
To avoid the significant lag that custom liveries are known to cause we request that teams do not run the liveries of other teams. The files are shared for use of the broadcaster only.
If a team is unavailable to attend a round in the championship, then use the withdraw function. This is found by clicking on the "Races" tab, and then "Admin" on the round you need to withdraw from. There you will find the withdraw button. Withdrawing from a round means you are withdrawn from both races held that round. It is not possible to only withdraw from one of the two races held at each round.
Every team is permitted 5 withdrawals. However, missing a round without prior withdrawal will see the team disqualified and removed from the series.
