Qualifying
Qualifying will be a very short session. You will likely only be able to get 1 or 2 fast laps in. For such a long race qualifying will not be as important but there are a few rules to note.
Each tier will have their own designated qualifying time slot.
-
GT2: First 5 minutes. (10:00 - 5:00)
-
GT4: Final 5 minutes. (4:59 - 0.00)
This will allow both tiers to have uninterrupted time on track.
- Any GT2 who cannot set a representative lap time MUST start the race from the pit lane.
- Any car that starts a lap outside of their tier’s time slot MUST also start from the pit lane.
Post race penalties may apply to those who do not follow these rules.
Pit stop Rules
During the race you will need to make 2 mandatory stops and refuel in each of these stops. These must be completed before the final lap or in game penalties will apply.
- Mandatory Stops: 2
- Mandatory Tyre change: Optional
- Mandatory Refuelling: Yes
- Fixed Refuelling: No (Variable)
- Pit Window: 88 minutes
- Pit Limiter: Manual
Stewarding
All of Formula Racing League’s stewarding is done via a post race ticketing system.
Please ensure you have the ability to either capture replays or share a live stream. Stewards may ask for footage and if you cannot supply you may be subject to penalties.
Details of how to raise a ticket are noted in the FRL Rule Book and available on FRL Discord.
Because of this it is mandatory for all participants to be on FRL Discord.
