Qualifying
Split Qualifying: Group A are allowed on track in the first 10 minutes. Any lap started before 10:00 can be completed. Group B in the second 10 minutes and must not leave their pit box until 10:00 (waiting in the pitlane is not allowed). Group B cars must not interfere with any Group A cars still on a lap, let them go and give them space to finish their lap. Leaving pitbox early or impeding Group A cars can result in a post race penalty.
Groups will be determined before season starts and posted in the informations channel. This will be identified ingame by number plates (Group A: Silver, Group B: White). These number plates only count in Qualifying, they have no influence on the race result.
If less than 25 cars on grid (determined at the start of quali), we will remove the split quali rules and allow all drivers on track for the full 20 minutes
In game chat should not be used during the session, if used you will receive a warning first and then a 5s penalty for any more after that.
It is always the car behind who has responsibility to make a gap ahead before starting a lap. Any driver who ruins a valid lap of a car ahead of them by attempting an overtake can be reported and penalised
Not allowed to use off track surfaces to get an advantage before/during your lap. This includes cutting the track to gain time on your outlap.
Pit exit: The car on track has right of way on the pit exit, it's down to the car leaving the pits to not block/hinder the car on a lap, this can be reported and penalised.
Ghosting: No ghosting on the entry/exit of the pitlane. If you are ghosting when you leave your pitbox it is up to the car behind to make a gap. Any collisions at the end of the pitlane will not be looked on lightly.
Race
Blue flags - please respect blue flags. We apply the same rules as GT racing: If a car makes a move to overtake a car under blue flags, the slower car must yield. There is no requirement for a slower car to immediately jump out of the way once the faster car is within a certain distance/time. Courtesy is expected from both parties.
Fighting with a car that has already pitted - While it is your right to fight for position with a car that has already pitted, we advise you to think about whether the fight will be beneficial to you in the long term. It may be better to let the driver past to lose as little time as possible.
Pit Exit: The car coming out of the pits has the right to rejoin the track within the pit entry lines, cars on track should provide the space to the car leaving the pits. If you cross the pit exit line you can be reported and penalised accordingly. Causing a collision by crossing the lines will be heavily penalised.
Pit Entry: You must try and keep within the entry lines as much as possible, however it will not be checked unless a collision occurs.
Ghosting: No ghosting on the entry/exit of the pitlane. If you are ghosting when you leave your pitbox it is up to the car behind to make a gap. Any collisions at the end of the pitlane will not be looked on lightly.
In game chat should not be used during the session. Especially at the end of the race, wait until all drivers have crossed the line and the leaderboard pops up to indicate session over before commenting. If used you will receive a warning first and then a 5s penalty for any more after that.
Pit Stops
There will be one mandatory pitstop.
For 70 minute races: only refuel required, tyre change optional
For the last 90min race: refuelling allowed,
Championship
To get any points for the race, you need to finish at least 80% of the laps of the leader.
Fastest lap: +2 points for the driver with the fastest lap.
Any drivers tied on points at the end of the year will will have their final championship position subsequently decided by the points total for all races (including drop rounds), then by most wins, second places, etc
There is two drop rounds in the season; the 2 lowest scoring rounds will not count towards your final championship total. This is a community league, and real life happens. Even though the drop rounds are available, please do your best to attend as many rounds as you can.
STEWARDING
Any incidents you want to report can be done do via the report form. This includes any contacts or anything else you want to report (aggressive overtake, overtaking off track, weaving etc). Report window will close on the Monday 19:00(UK time).
We enjoy hard racing so will not penalise every contact, however if we feel a pass was too aggressive they will be penalised. Ie using the other car as a brake. Side by side = Back wheels to Front wheels. If side by side you "all the time you need to leave the space".
Post race time penalties to be applied depending on severity (5s - 90s).
We will also use license points in this championship. (2x warnings = 1 point, 5s-10s penalty = 1 point, 15-25s = 2 points, 30s = 3 points, 45s+ = 4 points).
If you accumulate 35s worth of penalties or 4 license points you will recieve a qualification ban at the next race you attend, if the next race doesn't have a qualifying session you will start at the back of the grid. 70s worth of penalties or 8 license points you will have to start from the pitlane at your next race. More than 12 license points will be a race ban.
All decisions are final - No appeals
Please respect the stewards decision, they volunteer an evening a week to help steward.
Changing Car Mid Season
You can change your car only one time after the season has started, and before the start of round 2. If you change your car you will forfeit all points up to this point, and this round will be counted as your drop round.
