NOOBS "R" US - 500 Follower tournament
ABOUT US
Noobs “R” Us is a community of sim racers who are passionate about improving their skills and learning from each other. Our league is available to all levels of experience, from beginners who are just starting out to more experienced drivers who want to improve their skills. As a beginner-friendly community, we offer a supportive environment where new drivers can learn the basics of sim racing and get started on their journey to becoming better racers. Our members are always happy to share their knowledge and experience with others, whether it's providing tips on driving techniques, helping with setup, or answering general questions about sim racing.
OVERVIEW
This race is available to drivers of ALL skill level.
As a thank you to all of our followers on discord, we’re hosting this tournament in celebration!
This tournament will last only 2 weeks (unless we have more groups of 10 drivers than originally expected).
REGISTRATION
This series is free to enter.
Everyone who registers must join the Noobs "R" Us community discord, as this is where all communications, event and server information, and driver's briefings will be held. Once you are registered you are guaranteed a spot for the event. However, registered drivers not in our discord may be removed before the event start.
After the initial registration, drivers will be move into random racing groups of 10 drivers.
RACE SCHEDULE
The practice server will be available 24/7 leading up to the race. Driver's briefing will begin at approximately 2:45pm US Eastern.
Event 1 (semi finals)
We will be implementing a 5 minute “practice” session between each of the groups, this is only to log into the server and set up your cars. All groups will compete in the same format:
- 5 minute qualifier
- 20 MINUTE RACe
- Full pitstop (fuel/tires mandatory)
Group start times are as follows (us eastern):
- 3:00pm - Group 1
- 3:30pm - Group 2
- 4:00pm - Group 3
- repeat every 30 minutes for each additional group of 15 drivers
Event 2 (finals)
The top 4 drivers of each of the groups will move on to the finals.
The Competitors will also vote on 3 additional drivers who didn’t originally qualify for the Finals. Those 3 drivers will compete in the finals as well.
M2s (Open to all competitors)
- 3:00PM - 15 MINUTE QUALIFIER
- 3:15PM - 30 MINUTE SPRINT
GT3 Finals (Qualifiers and Voted drivers only)
- 3:45PM - SERVER RESTART/PRACTICE
- 3:55PM - 5 MINUTE QUALIFIER
- 4:00PM - 25 MINUTE SPRINT RACE
GT3 Open (All competitors)
- 4:30PM - 30 MINUTE QUALIFIER
- 5:00PM - 60 MINUTE RACE
- 25 SECOND FUEL PITSTOP REQUIRED / TIRES OPTIONAL
(All Competitors will be allowed to participate in the M2 and the Open races, but the results of those races will not be uploaded to SimGrid.)

STEWARDING
There will be no stewarding for this series. However, NRU will still permanently remove any driver who appears to be deliberately causing contact or wrecking another driver.
CAR SELECTION
All GT3 Cars available.
Finalists must stay with their registered car for the Finals race.
All drivers can change cars for the Open Race after the Finals.
All drivers are welcome to join the M2 race prior to the Finals.
CUSTOM LIVERIES
We know there are those who work hard to make amazing liveries for their cars, so we will allow custom liveries to be uploaded to our PitSync. Any profanity or nudity will not be tolerated.
