Whether youโre chasing wins in daily races or aiming for league domination, these setups will give you a competitive edge from day one.
A brand new name and a brand new format, the Coach Dave Super Sprint will be the best series of sprint racing yet!
The Coach Dave Super Sprint series will see teams of 2 drivers head to 5 different tracks for 5 rounds of racing, and each round will feature two 60 minute races, resulting in a 10 race season!
There will be a qualifying to determine the grid for Race 1 and the result of Race 1 will determine the grid for Race 2, although the top 10 will be a reverse grid!
To register for this championship, click the "Register Team" button. On the next screen, select your team, the drivers of the car, the split you qualified for, the car and the desired car #.
After selecting this information, you will then be taken to Stripe to make the payment.
Do not register to the series if you have not successfully qualified to take part. If you have successfully qualified through the qualification process, ensure you register to the correct split.
All teams that successfully qualify or are invited to enter the Coach Dave Super Sprint must pay the entry fee. The entry fee for Silver split and Am split is $50. The entry fee for Pro split is $60.
Each of the three splits will come with a prize pool. Each splits prize pool will be divided between the Top 10:
The prize pools for each split cannot be confirmed until after the qualification phase as the amount is dependant on the number of registered teams.
A split must have a minimum of 30 teams. Splits may be expanded to a maximum of 40 teams if required.
Min/Max prize pools per split are as follows:
All teams that enter the series must agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions of the series.
Each split will run to a slightly different schedule. Please see below;
Pro Split:
Silver Split:
Am Split:
All 3 splits will have both live and post race stewarding.
Teams will have to use the Report forms made available in the discord channel #protests for incidents to be investigated by the stewards.
Teams will also get the opportunity to appeal against a penalty they received. Teams are limited to only 3 appeals in the entire season and the appeals will only be reviewed post-race as appeals are viewed by an independant party who was not involved in the original decision.
All qualifying and races of the Pro split will have broadcast and commentary on the SimGrid Youtube channel.
Pro split will also have live timing on the SimGrid PitWall server.
The Coach Dave Super Series will use a newly introduced rule set. This new rule set will see smaller punishments for minor transgressions, allow drivers to race against each other a bit harder within the rules, but the revised licence points system will see repeat offending teams/drivers be punished in a much more severe manner than ever before.
For the full rule set, please click here
Each 60 minute race will feature a 10 minute pit window. All cars must pit during this pit window to perform their mandatory stop.
In Race 1; driver swap, refuelling and tyre changes are mandatory.
In Race 2; driver swap is mandatory, refuelling is not allowed and teams will only have 1 tyre set.
Points will be awarded to the Top 20 of each race. The amount of points scored in each position can be seen here.
In addition, the team with the fastest lap of the race receives a bonus 1 point.
It is not permitted for the same driver to start both races held at any round. Instead, each driver on the team must each start one of the races.
Teams found to be in breach of this will receive a post-race 10 second time penalty to their Race 2 result.
There is no requirement that the driver who does the qualifying is to start Race 1.
This is a driver swap series where each team is required to have 2 drivers at each race. However, in the event that a teammate is unavailable, there are 3 options available to the team:
Custom liveries made outside of the game are permitted in this series but please bear in mind that they are not officially supported by the game's developers.
Pro split will be live streamed on YouTube and custom liveries can be shared to the stream broadcaster in a dedicated channel on discord.
If your team wishes to run with a custom livery, the livery must follow the requirements detailed in the Terms & Conditions document.
The logos can be found in the assets folder available in the discord channel "Custom Livery Assets".
Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see the team banned from the series.
To avoid the significant lag that custom liveries are known to cause we request that teams do not run the liveries of other teams. The files are shared for use of the broadcaster only.
If a team is unavailable to attend a round in the championship, then use the withdraw function. This is found by clicking on the "Races" tab, and then "Admin" on the round you need to withdraw from. There you will find the withdraw button. Withdrawing from a round means you are withdrawn from both races held that round. It is not possible to only withdraw from one of the two races held at each round.
Every team is permitted 5 withdrawals. However, missing a round without prior withdrawal will see the team disqualified and removed from the series.
