The GT World Challenge Esports America Sprint Series is an Esports competition, based on the Assetto Corsa Competizione (PC platform) simulation developed by Kunos Simulazioni, dedicated to virtual Drivers. The GT World Challenge Esports America Sprint Series is organised by SRO Motorsports Group and AK Esports in order to create a truly engaging competition and to promote Esports racing.
https://www.discord.gg/TE2WsWGHcM - All drivers must join the official Discord server of the GT World Challenge Esports. The official Discord server is considered the main channel of communication between the Organiser, Race Direction and Drivers.
It is mandatory for every Driver to join the official Discord server and change their server nickname to their real first name and last name.
Before registering, each driver must first have completed their user profile to include their first name and surname, their nationality and Steam ID.
To register, click the Register button and you will be taken to the screen to select your car and car number.
Drivers will initially have to go through a hotlap pre-qualifying which will run from 21st February to 13th March. The top 24 drivers from the hotlap pre-qualifying will then advance to the GT World Challenge Esports America Sprint Series which will begin on April 23rd.
Registration to both the Silver class qualifying and the championship itself are free.
Drivers that scored 15 or more points in the 2021 GT World Challenge Esports will NOT be allowed to compete within the Silver class for the 2022 GT World Challenge Esports America Sprint Series.
The hotlap qualifying will begin on Monday 21st February at 12:00 CET.
The hotlap qualifying will end on Sunday 13th March at 23:59 CET.
Qualifying for the Silver class of the GTWC Esports America Sprint Series will be held as a hot-lap qualifying. Each Driver will be required to set hot-laps on a qualifying server at 3 different circuits, all of which are circuits on the calendar for the season: Zolder, Kyalami & Silverstone.
Drivers must set their hotlaps in the car that they are registered to. Laps set in any other car than their registered car will be invalid for the qualifying. The same car must be used at all 3 tracks, it is not possible to use a different car at each.
At each track, the drivers 10 best lap times are used to create an average lap time. The average lap time from each track will then be added together to create a total lap time and drivers will be sorted in the standings based on this total lap time.
Example:
1:27.955 (Avg. lap time @ Zolder) + 1:39.888 (Avg. lap time @ Kyalami) + 1:57.001 (Avg. lap time @ Silverstone) = Total Lap Time of 5:04.844
The top 24 drivers in the standings will be eligible to qualify for the Silver class of the GTWC Esports America Sprint Series. However, there is a requirement that there is at least ONE of each manufacturer in the Silver class. In the event that one of each manufacturer is not in the top 24, then the fastest driver(s) in the missing manufacturer(s) will be eligible to qualify in place of the drivers in the top 24.
Example:
Drivers using McLaren qualify in P1 and P24. Highest Audi driver is P25. The Audi driver will enter the Silver class instead of the McLaren driver in P24.
*Event Organizers have the right to change the maximum or minimum number of allowed Drivers within the competition at any moment and are allowed to add additional Drivers to the series even if the maximum number of Drivers has already been reached.
For the full ruleset, please refer to the Code of Conduct and Sporting Code in the Regulations.
