RACING FORMAT
A single GT3 season will be held over 9 race events and 3 sprint events. A season will include 2 break weeks with the opportunity to host one-off events in these breaks.
Race event = A race event will feature a qualifying session and a race. The qualifying will determine the race position, with the race being 185 kilometers long.
Sprint event - A sprint event will feature one qualifying session and 2 race sessions. First there will be a qualifying session to determine the grid of the feature race. The sprint race will be the reverse qualifying grid order.
Before the races there will be a practice session hosted by the lobby host. We are aiming to have lobbies open at least 1 hour to 30 minutes before the race.
RACING RULES
We require all our drivers to show respect towards other drivers on track. As a racing driver you need to avoid contact at all costs. Dangerous driving can be reported to our racing stewards. Information about stewards can be found in the Discord.
The following time penalties can be applied:
- Formal warning: Slight offense or connection issues
- 5 seconds time penalty: Minor offense
- 10 seconds time penalty: Major offense without purpose
- 20 seconds time penalty: Major offense
- Qualifying ban: (Repeated) Major offense or other offenses
- Race ban: Major offense with purpose
The stewards will also hand out penalty points. By reaching a certain amount of penalty points there could be further punishments:
- 12 penalty points reached: Qualifying ban
- Further 12 points reached: Qualifying ban + race ban
The second point usually results in a season ban from racing on the server. The GT7 staff always reserve the right to remove drivers if they feel that is adequate.
We also want our drivers to show a decent level of respect towards our series, this includes the following points:
- Returning during a qualifying session: Using the menu to return to the pits in the middle of a qualifying session is forbidden and will result in a formal warning.
- Quitting during a race: We highly discourage our drivers from quitting during a race. Doing this will result in a qualifying ban.
With a qualifying ban a driver is not allowed to exit the pit lane during a qualifying session. Not even for an installation lap.
ATTENDANCE RULES
The attendance bot will be shared in every division's own attendance channel. Drivers have to select accepted if theyโre racing, declined if theyโre not racing or tentative if theyโre not sure if they are racing.
RACING DAY
Drivers will have to enter the racing lobby 10 minutes before qualifying starts. Not doing so without communication will result in a kick from the lobby.
We also donโt allow people who are not in the league to enter the lobby. This means that there are no outside spectators allowed. This is to avoid lag spikes in the game.
In case of a mass disconnect (more than 2 people kicked at the same time) there will be a lobby restart. Drivers will have to share their position before the disconnect to the lobby host. If less than 90% of the race is completed the lobby host will open a new lobby which starts one lap after the disconnect, with the race running until the planned finish lap.
We require all our drivers to use a custom livery design. A driver can use any design they want, but the staff can remove a livery if deemed offensive. We also require our drivers to use a number plate. This number plate will be shared ahead of the season. All drivers are required to send their livery design to the league admin prior to the start of the season (or in the middle of a season in case a new team joins). Mid-season livery changes and special liveries are allowed.
A team consists of 2 drivers. A team has to have a team name communicated with the league admin. Team line-ups can change throughout the season, but there wonโt be a change of points for the involved teams.
In a team both drivers will have to use the same car.
If you donโt have a teammate by deadline day you will be assigned to one.
NO DUPLICATE CAR RULE
There is a new car pick rule in place. Every team needs to submit 5 cars of their choice, starting with the one you want the most. There will be a car draft, carried out by Brumadinho and Sassafras on a livestream. The lowest positioned team from season 1 will have the first pick. If any of the following teams had the same car as pick nr. 1, they will get their second car on the list and so on.
If a team fails to submit 5 cars by the deadline they will be allocated a car by the GT7 Admins.
Drivers still canโt pick the same car as the season before. The GT7 Admins will monitor this.
Drivers are NOT allowed to change cars in season 2!
