ENTRY INFORMATION
Welcome to Season 1 of the Abruzzi Prototype Challenge. Growing from the success of the Silverstone 300 event at the start of 2024. The Abruzzi Prototype Challenge is a multiclass championship taking in some of the most iconic circuits in the world, culminating in the 300km of Silverstone.
Please note the following points before entering this Championship
- All drivers must be 16 years old or over
- Please select the correct class for you,PRO or AM - see info below on the criteria for each class
- All drivers must hold a paid Motorsport UK Esports Membership (£24.99 for 12 months) - Info and sign up here - https://esports.motorsportuk.org/membership/
- There is no additional entry fee for this event
OVERVIEW
This multiclass championship uses the LMDh (GTP) and LMP3 cars on iRacing and both car classes are split into PRO and AM.
All races are 60 minutes long except the final round which is 300km of Silverstone, this should last approximately 90 minutes.
Once you register you will be allocated a Discord role for this championship - where all information will be communicated
REGISTRATION
To register for this event, click the "Register" button. On the next screen, select your class, car and race number.
EVENT TIMETABLE
- Tuesday Evenings
- Practice - 6:30pm BST
- Qualifying - 7:30pm BST - (Lone Qualifying, 3 Laps, 10 Minutes)
- Race - 7:45pm - 8:45pm BST
CLASSES
PRO = A driver who has ever reached more than 3,000 iRating
AM = Any driver who does not meet the PRO criteria
PRIZES
All Prizes for this championship are kindly provided by Abruzzi.
The winner of each class will receive a fully custom pair of Abruzzi, Gloves, Boots and a Shirt The second place driver in each class will receive a fully custom pair of Abruzzi Gloves & Boots The third place drive in each class will receive a fully custom pair of Abruzzi Gloves
Further to this: After each Round any driver who is classified at the end of the race will be entered into a draw to be randomly selected to win a pair of fully custom Abruzzi Gloves.

CAR CLASSES
LMDh (GTP) - Acura ARX-06 GTP, Porsche 963 GTP, Cadillac V-Series.R GTP, BMW M Hybrid V8
LMP3 - Ligier JS P320
STEWARDING
As with all Motorsport UK community events there will be stewarding throughout the championship. The championship will have a post race stewarding process. All incidents must be reported by a driver no later than 60 minutes after the race.
To have an incident reviewed, you must submit any protests through the protest form here form located here and the stewards will review it and confirm the outcome during or after the race in the Discord server.
PLEASE NOTE: Each driver has a maximum of 2 protests available to you for each race.
BROADCASTING
ALL Rounds of the championship will be broadcast LIVE on RaceSpot TV and Motorsport UK TV
EVENT RULES
- Rolling Start
- Fast Repairs: 1 per race
- Open Setups
- Minimum Licence: Class D 2.0
- Drive Through Penalty after 20x incident points and then every 10x after that
- Strict qualifying in game scrutineering
- No tyre usage restrictions
- Forecasted Weather - rain possible
- 1 point for fastest lap
WEATHER
The in-sim game time will be set as 'Afternoon' for all races. The weather will be set to "Forecasted". All sessions after practice will have marbles set to 'Carry Over'
CUSTOM LIVERIES
All drivers are allowed to use their own liveries for each race, however there is a official championship decal pack that needs to be added to all competing, details for this are outlined in our Discord and in the 'Rules'
All drivers must have permission (produce if requested) for any logo that is displayed on their car
All liveries used must adhere to the iRacing Paint Policy found here (policy updated 08/12/21)
Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see the team banned from the race.
