The race day will consist of a 60-minute practice session, a 15- minute qualifying session, and a 60- minute race (during the season, the race duration will be extended to 90 minutes for three races).

RACE LOBBY:

Title: Virtual Racing League - GT3 LEAGUE

The server will be set up for each race of the season at least 5 days before the race.

The password for entry will be announced on the Discord server.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

During the race, the overall goal is to avoid contact between cars; all drivers in VRL are responsible for attempting to prevent such incidents. Avoid being overly aggressive when attempting an overtaking maneuver. Generally, it is the responsibility of the pursuing car to complete the pass in a safe and clean manner. The chance of accidents is particularly high at the beginning of the race, so please exercise increased caution. It's often safer to avoid highly risky maneuvers at the start. Races are seldom won heroically in the first lap.

SEASON AND RACE RULES:

   1. By 1st October 2024, drivers must announce the team and car they will participate with in the season, as changing the team or car during the season will not be allowed.

   2. During the race, it will not be allowed to join the server. All drivers must join during the practice session (60 mins) or after the qualifying session. An exception is when a driver is kicked from the server, then rejoining is allowed.

   3. It is strictly forbidden to leave the lobby during the race, even after its conclusion. Drivers must wait until the server is restarted.

   4. Drivers must adhere to proper on-track behavior and follow the signal flags.

   5. During the qualifying or race, teleporting to the pits will not be allowed. Drivers must drive to the pits and then proceed with repairs. Drivers must refuel enough to return to the pits. Abandoning the car on the track will be penalized. (An exception is allowed if there is a hardware failure that would leave the driver stranded on the track).

   6. Driving through other cars in the pit lane will not be allowed (minor passing during entry to the pit lane will not be penalized). Intentionally passing other cars during the formation lap will also not be allowed.

   7. When exiting the pits, drivers must respect the pit exit line (do not cross the marked line).

   8. After finishing the race, drivers must complete the lap and drive to the pits. Teleporting to the pits or staying on the track will not be allowed. Abandoning the car on the track will be penalized.

   9. Drivers are allowed only cockpit views (applies to the pit lane as well).

   10. During qualifying and the race, drivers are required to turn off in-game voice communication.

   11. If a driver goes off-track, they must not re-enter the track in a way that endangers other racers. If the situation doesn't allow for a safe re-entry, the driver must wait until it's safe.

   12. The use of assists such as Ideal Line and Stability Control is not allowed during the race.

   13. Drivers are required to record a video of their race (60-minute recording on PS, stream) for the purpose of monitoring cockpit view compliance and resolving track incidents. (Failure to provide the recording will be penalized).

   14. If a driver cannot participate in a race, they must notify someone from the admin team and withdraw from the race on the SimGrid platform (otherwise, the absence will be considered unexcused, and the driver will receive 10 penalty points). If a driver reaches a total of 30 penalty points, they will be excluded from the season and replaced by a substitute driver.

   15. Excessive blinking is prohibited. (Two blinks are allowed) Drivers can warn others with blinking in the case of blue flags or an accident. Continuous blinking will be penalized.

   2. If more than 15 minutes but less than 45 minutes have passed in the race and the server crashes or more than five drivers are kicked, the race will be restarted, and the current positions from the last completed lap will be used for the start. The race duration will be reduced by the time that passed before the server crash.

   3. If more than 45 minutes have passed in the race and the server crashes, the race will be terminated, and the current positions from the last completed lap will be considered final.

   4. In case of prolonged server issues, the race will be postponed, and the qualifying results will be used for the rescheduled race.

   5. For the 90-minute race, the times will be adjusted proportionally to the race length (20 min - 70 min).

PROTESTS AND INCIDENT RESOLUTION:

Please report any protests through the SimGrid platform, preferably right after the race, but no later than 23 hours after the race; later-reported protests will not be considered. The description of the incident and its video recording will be forwarded to an impartial commissioner who is not involved in the race to objectively assess the incident. Along with the protest, the driver must provide a video recording of the incident where the rules were violated (the driver is obliged to record the race). All drivers should submit protests in all cases of rule violations or race result influences. Drivers are requested to report  incidents even if they can resolve the incident among themselves. The goal is to evaluate the incident and try to prevent its recurrence in the future or, if necessary, discuss it with the drivers without penalties. After evaluating the recording, all involved drivers will be informed by a member of the admin team, and the result will be reflected in the points on SimGrid. Incidents will be penalized with a time penalty according to the severity of the incident (5s, 15s, 30s). The commissioner may consult with the admin team. In case of a non-standard and unforeseen situation, the commissioner may impose an exceptional penalty (longer time penalty, exclusion from the season, point deduction, race disqualification, etc.). It is strictly prohibited to exploit any errors or bugs in the game.

REPORTING AN INCIDENT:

   1. In the championship menu, select RACES.

   2. Then click REPORT INCIDENT for the specific race you want to report.
