This is our fifth season of racing on Friday evenings with a great group of people. Won't you join us? This season will emulate in a small way, the GT World Challenge in 2019 (known then as Blancpain). There will be two types of races; Sprint format, and Endurance format. Sprint will be a 45 minute sprint from green with no pit stops required, but they will be open for repairs, fuel and tires. Endurance format will be a 75 minute race with a tire change required, and pits open for repairs, fuel and tires. Each session will have a 15 minute Practice session, and a 15 minute Qualifying session ahead of the scheduled race. Each race weekend will start at 8PM ET (5PM PT).
This is a first come first serve series! Once slots are all full, you'll have to wait for withdrawals to enter!
We require you join the HFG Discord, which will give you access to both administrators and any news that needs to be passed to you before the race weekends start. There is NO requirement to be in a voice chat if you don't want to, but we do have multiple chats available to join if you would like. Your name in Discord must be changed to match what your SimGrid profile says it is. This is to allow quick cross referencing of participants and assist in Post Race Stewarding.
We follow the ruleset that SimGrid provides, however if you would head to Join the HFG Discord, to get on the Driver Briefing channel at the end of practice, it would be appreciated. Our events are post-race stewarded. We use a program that provides timestamps of all contact in the race as well as track cuts. Our full rule set is provided in the Discord. If you need to file an incident report, please do so here, in the race section on The Sim Grid.
The use of custom liveries made outside of the game is permitted in this event. However, the use of these liveries is not officially supported by the game developers.
These events will commence with a Practice session (15 mins), a Qualifying session (15 mins) and the Race in question, either a Sprint or Endurance. The server will be live at 2000 ET/ 1700 PT (8PM/5PM).
Sprint races in this series do not require pit stops, and Endurance format races have no pit window but a tire change must occur before the end of race. Pits are open for repairs, fuel and tires for all races. There is no pit window on the Endurance format races.
If you come to find you cannot attend this event, we would appreciate if you use the withdraw button under 'manage registration'.
