Welcome to the first one-off iracing event from SOP Motorsport

In the first of many one-off events, we move away from our Road To Le Mans Series for a while, and we start things off with some Oval action at the famous Daytona International Speedway, because everyone loves speedway racing! 

We begin not with the Daytona 500, but with the Daytona 50... A 50 lap race around Daytona to break drivers into our Oval shenanigans. It's going to be fast, it's going to be frantic. 

CAR SELECTION

This one-off event will have the following cars available for selection:

Nascar: 

• Nxt Gen Chevrolet Camaro
• Nxt Gen Ford Mustang
• Nxt Gen Toyota Camry 

Fixed setups will be used for this event.

EVENT SCHEDULE

• Practice: 20:00hrs UK time (15m)
• Qualifying: 20:15hrs UK time (5m / 2 LAPS)
• Race: 20:20hrs UK time (50 laps)

SCORING SYSTEM

We will be using a linear scoring structure and the whole field will score points

PIT STOP REQUIREMENTS

There will be no pitstop requirements for this race. But watch out for those yellow flag cautions, it may pay dividends to pit for fresh tyres.

STEWARDING 

There will be no stewarding for this one-off event. But there will be yellow flag cautions, lucky dog wave arounds and all the usual in game penalties that apply for oval racing. There will also be unlimited fast repairs so no one will ever go a lap down.

This event will have a full broadcast production with commentary by our amazing Scottish resident John Wright!
