event

Thrustmaster GT Race is an Esport race, based on the Assetto Corsa Competizione simulation. This event, organized by Thrustmaster, is only invitational. The organizer reserves the right to edit the regulations at any time. Any changes to the regulations will be communicated to all drivers through the official Thrustmaster's discord server.

territory

The event will be held online. All Drivers registered must have a good connection condition for participating and respect all the point of the regulations.

Track

Thrustmaster GT Race will take place on Imola racetrack.

dates and planning

Thrustmaster GT Race will take place on 14th May 2024 – 7:00 PM CET

  • 07:00 PM CET: Twitch live starting on the official Thrustmaster channel;
  • 07:15 PM CET : CC (content creators) qualifying session open (15 mins duration),
  • 07:30 PM CET: Pro (Esport) qualifying session open (15 mins duration).
  • 07:50 PM CET: Race start

twitch / stream condition

Thrustmaster GT Race will be broadcast on Thrustmaster's Twitch channel, and cast by Matt Gallagher & Luke Crane. 

Each driver can stream his race as he wishes. However, we want everyone to follow some simple instructions:

  • (Mandatory) Display the name of the event in the stream title: "@TMThrustmaster GT Race";
  • (Optional) Display the giveaway overlay. Every assets will be available on NRT's drive.

Driver / team eligibility

This event is only by invitation. Only Thrustmaster manager can invite you to participate to this event. Each participant must read and agree with the Terms and Conditions of this regulation. Each driver must meet hardware and software requirements. Drivers who do not meet these requirements will be deemed ineligible and will be removed from Thrustmaster GT Race. Organizers have the authority to disqualify any team or driver suspected of being involved in collusion or foul play which intentionally influences the outcome of the race to their advantage or the advantage of a teammate.

registration

This event is by invitation only, each driver needs to follow these rules:
  • Complete its registration on this SimGrid page.
  • Join the Thrustmaster's Discord server
  • DM teothrustmaster on Discord, to receive the dedicated role for the event.

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION

All Drivers must be connected to the official Discord server. The official Thrustmaster Discord server shall be considered the main channel of communication between the Organiser, Race Direction and Drivers. Every Driver must join the official Discord server with their real Surname and Last Name or in-game Pseudo to be aware of official communication, participate in the mandatory Driver Briefing and let admins coordinate all the different racing sessions and communication.

By taking part in the event, each driver must share on his own social medias the major announcements given by the organizer, with the aim of promoting the event.

Every major announcement to be shared by participants will be announced on Thrustmaster’s discord server.

participation

All Drivers participating in the competition must meet the following requirements:

Software requirements:

  • Own an original copy of Assetto Corsa Competizione by Kunos Simulazioni on Steam.
  • Own an original copy of 2020 GT World Challenge Pack DLC.
  • Own a Driver profile in-game with a same pseudo / real name.
  • Own a Discord account with a same pseudo / real name.

Hadware requirements:

  • Internet connection with a max ping of 90ms from race server.
  • Wheel and pedals set.

Exceptions will be permitted pending the connection is stable and not considered a danger in a racing environment.

CAR liveries

Drivers are allowed to use fully custom liveries or in-game custom ones (but prefer fully custom). A livery edited by Thrustmaster will be created for the event and free to use for all participants. Drivers who are using custom liveries must comply with some rules:

  • Add the official logo of the event on the car.
  • The headband on the windscreen must be set-up by default, no brand apart the manufacturer of the chosen car.

Cars liveries must be submitted in the following format to Admins before 12th May 23:59 CET (11:59 PM):

The final folder with all the liveries for the race will be available on NRT's Drive

Cars & classes

Thrustmaster GT Race will use only GT3 cars divided into 2 classes:

  • Pro -> Esport Team and drivers only.
  • AM -> Content creators only.

The deadline for choosing or changing cars is set for Tuesday 07 May at 23:59 CET (11:59PM).

Balance of power - bop

The organization will use a custom BOP. Here is the list of changes made for Imola and by car:

  • Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II (2022): +13kg;
  • Bentley Continental (2018): -20kg;
  • AMR V8 Vantage (2019): -7kg;
  • BMW M4 GT3 (2021): +3kg;
  • Ferrari 296 GT3 (2023): 0kg;
  • Honda NSX GT3 Evo (2019): -23kg;
  • Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo  II (2023): -7kg;
  • McLaren 720S GT3 Evo (2023): +17kg;
  • Mercedes AMG GT3 (2020): +10kg;
  • Porsche 992 GT3 R (2023): +13kg;
  • Ford Mustang GT3 (2024): +13kg.

Drivers classifications & qualifying

Each driver will have 15 mins to complete their qualification. There will be a 30 mins session divided in two parts. The first part of 15 mins will be reserved for AM (content creators) and the second part for Pro (Esport). Any driver not complying with these conditions will be penalized by a time penalty. It is possible that an AM driver is in front of a PRO driver at the end of the qualifying session. If at the end of the session, the driver has not completed a valid lap, then he will start from the last position. 

The weather conditions for qualifying will be optimal. There will be no rain, the temperature will be fixed and the grip optimal. 

Race format

  • Briefing - 15 mins;
  • Practice - 10 mins;
  • Qualifying - 30 mins (1x 15 mins for each classifications);
  • Grid: 4 mins;
  • Race: 1h30.

Penaltys:

  • D1: Warning -> 5s -> 10s -> 20s;
  • D2: 5s -> 10s -> 15s -> 30s -> 60s;
  • D3: 30s -> 60s -> 120s -> DQ -> DQ + suspension -> Ban;
  • DT: 72 sec;
  • SG10s: 87 sec;
  • SG30s; 107 sec.

The commission reserves the right to adapt the penalty after judgment of the action concerned. 

Penalties of DT/ SG10s/ SG30s can be applied during the last round. Therefore, they will be added as a time penalty to the final result. This procedure is applicable only if the car has no penalty to apply before the passage of the 3rd sector to the penultimate lap.

race control / direction

During the whole race the race direction will be on TeamSpeak. This race direction will be able to give you voice instructions such as a radio. Your presence is mandatory on TeamSpeak. To use it correctly, please follow the instructions below:

  • Install TeamSpeak software via this link,
  • Join the server (URL adress: ts.nocoracingteam.fr / Password: available on TM discord Server only),
  • Respect your pseudo format: [N° Car] Pseudo or First/Last Name (ex: [88] Arthur de Chaurand),
  • Alt+P, go to whisp and disable "Always display the history of whispers when receiving a whisper.",
  • All good, you can join your own reserved channel (N° car and team name).

Pit white line

The pit line is a continuous white line. It contributes to the safety of cars on tracks and cars leaving pits. The speed delta between the two is sometimes important and the trajectory can be conflicting. It must not be crossed by the outgoing car. The tire can bite it but not cross it. If this is the case, the car will be sanctioned with a DT to perform in the next 3 laps.

chat in-game

The use of in-game chat is strictly prohibited and is reserved for the race commission and the organization of all sessions. It will communicate the call tests on TeamSpeak or any information related to the smooth running of the event. Use results in a degree 1 violation and will be sanctioned with a DT. The penalty will be aggravated if the case is for the same car.

code of conduct

Respect for the Code of Conduct is a fundamental aspect of every Esports race. Every Driver who doesn’t respect the rules of the Code of Conduct will be considered ineligible to participate in Thrustmaster GT Race and, if an evident breach of the following rules of the Code of Conduct will happen during the event, the organiser may remove the guilty Driver.

  • All Drivers are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the Organiser and shall not engage in conduct considered harmful to the business, reputation or relationships of an individual or their partners;

All Drivers agree to avoid the following behaviours online and offline:

  • Hate speech or discriminatory behaviour: Drivers must not use language that is deemed by the Organiser to be obscene, vulgar, insulting, threatening, abusive, libellous, defamatory or otherwise offensive or objectionable, or promote or incite hatred or discriminatory conduct, at any time, off or on the broadcast. Drivers may not use this type of language on any social media or during any public-facing events such as streaming;
  • Harassment: any kind of harassment is strictly prohibited;
  • Discriminatory language: any kind of discriminatory words, phrases or gestures offending the dignity or integrity of a private person, a group of people, a team, a brand, a sponsor, or a country through contemptuous or discriminatory words or actions on account of race, skin colour, ethnic, national or social origin, gender, language, religion, political opinion or any other opinion, financial status, birth or any other status, sexual orientation or any other reason, are strictly prohibited;
  • Trolling: posting inflammatory, extraneous or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, blog, or any social media, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion, is strictly prohibited.
  • All Drivers shall not offer or accept any gift or reward to or from anyone for services promised, rendered, or be rendered in connection with the event;
  • Betting or gambling by any Drivers or anyone connected to any participant is prohibited. Moreover, no Driver or related person may benefit directly or indirectly from any betting or gambling;
  • Drivers must be respectful of the staff involved in the tournament by the organiser, sponsors, and/or their partners at all times;
  • Drivers must remain respectful in official Discord chats against other drivers, organizers, and race controllers;

Drivers posting negative, disruptive and brand-damaging content on social media about the organiser, or any other participant, including but not limited to images and videos of game faults, may result in the participant disqualified (Driver removal) from the Event.

fraudulent activity

  • At any point during the Competition, the organiser has the right to exclude the Drivers in the event of:
  • Alteration of the results, times and video files relating to the online phases;
  • Hardware modification: any modification made to a piece of hardware allowing it to function in a way the manufacturer did not intend;
  • Software modification: any modification made to Assetto Corsa Competizione and third parties’ software, allowing them to function in a way the developers did not intend;
  • Exploiting game glitches: intentionally using any in-game bug to seek an advantage;
  • Impersonation (including playing under another Driver’s Steam account) – to be understood as playing under another Driver’s account or soliciting, inducing, encouraging or directing someone else to play under another Driver’s account;
  • Collusion: any agreement among two (2) or more Drivers and/or other persons to affect any competition or race and/or opposing Drivers;
  • Any other behaviour as determined to be cheating, gameplay, gamesmanship or gaining an unfair advantage in any way by the organiser.

Drivers must notify the Organiser of any unfair exploits that they become aware of. Any Driver who is deemed, in the sole determination of the organiser, to have cheated or behaved in any way as described above may be penalised and/or disqualified from The Race GT by Thrustmaster.

Any conduct that is considered in violation of this Code of Conduct is punishable at the sole discretion of the Organiser and may result in disqualification from The Thrustmaster GT Race.
