If you’re convinced you’re driving the same lines as the pros and still not as fast, Delta 3.5 reveals exactly where time slips away.
The Road To Le Mans iRacing Season 1 was a great success and so we are back with season 2, this time with a simplified car selection (removing the out of favour LMP2) and just running with LMDh and GT3 - We bring back 3 venues from last season and we have added 4 new venues to whet the appetite of newcomers and old alike. We have also added an extra round to the calendar increasing from 6 rounds to 7. The SOP Motorsport Road to Le Mans Season 2 is here to start the 2024 year, taking you through the three months of Feb, March & April.
All roads lead to Le Mans in this championship with the finale being the longest race on the calendar, this time without the double points finale however and a singular scoring system throughout. This championship will feature ONE drop round, MEANING YOUR WORST SCORE IS ERASED FROM YOUR OVERALL POINTS. We will have two extra points for the fastest lap each round.
This championship will have the following cars available for selection in each class:
There will be one drop round for this championship. If you cannot attend a race please withdraw or sign out from that race in the races tab. If you don't attend a race and don't sign out from that race you will receive 5 penalty points. 10 penalty points will result in automatic disqualification from the championship.
We will be using the official Le Mans scoring system for this championship with some minor modifications to allow more drivers to score points at the bottom of the grid.
There will be two bonus points per race for the fastest lap of the race.
Every round there will be one mandatory fuel pit stop. Tyres will be optional at all rounds. We will be utilising the iRacing imsa fuel % used in the official series for the 45 minutes. With custom fuel % for the 60 mins and then no restrictions for the 90 mins.
There will be post-race stewarding only in this championship and drivers will be able to report incidents on our discord to be reviewed by our stewarding team. We reserve the right to remove drivers from the series for unsportsmanlike conduct.
This series will have a full broadcast production with commentary by our amazing Scottish resident John Wright!
