1.1.1 The 2024 BUKC iRacing Trophy (the “Championship”) is organised & administered by the Club100 Sim Racing Championships (the “Organisers”) team and promoted by DDMM Sports Commentary Ltd (the “Promotors”) in accordance with the iRacing Official Sporting Code.
1.1.2 The BUKC iRacing Trophy is a simulation motor sport championship comprising of races on the iRacing sim racing service. All Competitors will used the designated race vehicle(s) as defined in Section 5 of these regulations.
1.2.1
Championship Director: Chris Hanson or an appointed deputy.
Championship Coordinator: Andrew Mather or an appointed deputy
1.3.1 Competitors as Drivers must:
(a) Be current OR past Racing Members of Club100 Racing OR British Universities Karting Championships (“BUKC”) OR current Racing Members of British Pro Kart Endurance Championships (“BPEC”) OR have a recognizable relation to an individual in possession of the previous (for example – parent of a current Club100 Juniors driver) and OR be an active member of a BUKC-affiliated university club and/or society.
For the avoidance of doubt, an affiliated university club is a club that runs the BUKC racing operation on behalf of their university. For example, a member of the University of Birmingham Motor Racing Club is eligible, a member of the UBRacing – the University of Birmingham Formula Student team is not eligble.
(b) be a Follower of the Club100 Racing SimGrid host page and
(c) be Registered for the Championship and
(d) be in possession of an active iRacing membership subscription for the duration of the championship as a minimum
1.3.2 Acceptance of registration is entirely at the discretion of the Championship Organisers and may be withdrawn at anytime
1.3.3 There are no restrictions to entry based on the iRacing License status of an individual.
1.3.4 Individuals who do not fit the criteria in 1.3.1 are able to race at the discretion of the Organisers. Such individuals shall not be eligible for end of season awards.
1.4.1 All Drivers and Entrants must complete the official Championship Registration Form via The SimGrid host page for Organisers in order to enter the Championship. It should be clearly understood that by signature of the form all Competitors acknowledge their agreement to be bound by the rules and regulations contained in the Championship Regulations, Championship Terms and Conditions and those stipulated by the Organising Club.
1.4.2 Only one Driver may be nominated on each Registration Form.
1.4.3 The maximum number of championship entries will be 40
All drivers entered will be eligible for championship points in respect of the drivers championship and classes.
Reserve entrants may be accepted when the total number of entries exceeds 40.
Reserve positions will be offered entry should a registered entrant withdraw or where the circuit limit is greater than 40 cars. Reserve positions will be offered entry in order based on the date when the championship received their entry/registration form. Entries from reserves will only be accepted once an entry fee is paid.
Guest entries may be accepted subject to the circuit limit. Guest drivers will not score championship points. Where a guest driver finishes in a championship point scoring position all drivers finishing behind the guest driver will be moved up one position for the purposes of championship points only.
Acceptance of reserve, guest and invitation entries is at the Organisers discretion.
The Organisers reserve the right to split or add classes or combine with other Championships or series or combine or split grids.
1.4.4 Race numbers will be allocated based on the process outlined in Appendix 1.
1.4.5 Acceptance or rejection of registrations is entirely at the discretion of the Championship officials.
1.4.6 Competitors registered for the season will be issued with invitations to
a) the Club100 Sim Racing Championships Private League on iRacing
b) the Club100 Sim Racing Championship Discord.
1.4.7 Competitors registered for the season will be classified into one of the following classes as per the Driver Categorisation Process, detailed in 2.2
a) Premier Class
b) Clubman Class
c) Intermediate Class
d) Rookie Class
1.4.8 Competitors who fit the following criteria will be eligible for the end-of-season Newcomer Award
e) Have competed in no more than 2 Club100 Sim Racing Championship events before January 1st 2024
1.5.1 The BUKC iRacing Trophy will consist of race & test events for as set out in the calendar on the SimGrid event page:
1.5.2 For the purpose of the Newcomer Award, participation in a Race Meeting counts as an event.
1.5.3 Each event will start at 1800 UTC on the dates specified in 1.5.1 on a hosted lobby available via the Club100 Sim Racing Championships iRacing League space.
1.5.4 The Championship Organisers and Promoters reserve the right to cancel, postpone or substitute events in the Championships for reasons of “force majeure” and no responsibility will be accepted for loss or damage incurred.
1.5.5 If an event is oversubscribed the Organisers may at their absolute discretion give priority to Competitors entered for the entire championship.
1.5.1 In respect of the championship all races will bepoints scoring, but a driver’s worst 4 scores will be dropped at the end ofseason. If a driver’s worst score is due to Disqualification then the driversnext worst score will be dropped. For the avoidance of doubt, Competitors arenot allowed to drop scores caused by disqualification. Drivers may drop DNF,DNS and races not entered. For theavoidance of doubt, during the season points tables will show points totalswith and without dropped scores.
1.5.2 Points for all classes are scored by Drivers foreach race on the following scalebased on their Overall position: 1st = 50 pts, 2nd =47 pts, 3rd = 45th pts, 4th = 44 pts,decreasing by point per position down to 40th = 8 pts
Should arace run for less than 50% of the race time (based on the length of the race asplanned at the start of the race) then 50% of the normal points will beawarded.
Drivers whodo not complete a full lap of a race will receive 0 points.
Drivers whoare disqualified as per the Protest Procedure and/or iRacing Penalty Systemwill receive 0 points
1.5.3 Bonus points, added to the points awarded for eachrace, shall be awarded to drivers who participate in all race events.
1.5.4 Any and all drivers who participate in all raceevents shall receive 20 points. Participation is defined as completing atleast one racing lap in at least one race within an event.
