OVERVIEW
Please note the special rules for this event regarding qualification as explained below! If you do not qualify in advance you will not be allowed in the race!
This is a mini-endurance race running for 144 minutes (2.4 hours). In order to join the race you MUST go in either of the two qualification servers, whichever is at a time you prefer, (see the Races tab for dates and times) and set a clean lap. You may make as many attempts as you wish but they must be when the Qualification server is up. The Practice server is NOT for qualification!
Our rules are found in the HFG Discord. To join our events you MUST be a member of our Discord, AND your nickname in Discord MUST contain your SimGrid profile name. Before the Race start there is a mandatory driver briefing.
SIGN UP PROCESS
Signups and changes to cars are allowed up to 0100 EDT on August 29th. After that there will be no changes allowed.
EVENT TIMETABLE
Practice server is open 24/7 EXCEPT when qualification is running.
Qualification server 1: Monday August 30th - 1800-2000 EDT
Qualification server 2: Wednesday September 1st - 2000-2200 EDT
Race Server: Saturday September 4th Free Practice 1930-1945 EDT
Race Server: Saturday September 4th Race 1945-2209 EDT
PIT STOPS
There are NO mandatory pit stops. Refuelling is enabled. Drivers have 5 tyre sets. Stints are a maximum of 40 minutes. You must perform a drive-through or a pit stop to reset the stint timer. Serving a penalty does not reset the timer.
CUSTOM LIVERIES
The use of custom liveries made outside of the game is permitted in this series. However, the use of these liveries is not officially supported by the game developers. Please be aware that running external custom liveries can induce significant client side lag when another user connects or disconnects.
WITHDRAWALS
If you are signed up but then unavailable to attend, please click 'manage registration' and then click 'leave event' so that others can join the race.
STEWARDING
This series has post-race stewarding. If you feel someone was deliberately not following the rules, go to the race tab on the SimGrid web site, select the race, then select the admin tab, and click on the incident report button. For rude in-game chat, take a screenshot of the chat and submit it to Jacky Harris or Guidot (Jeff) via PM on Discord.
