GT Classics at Historic Imola

OVERVIEW

Welcome to the 1972 Imola race with the GT Classics!

Since there is a big pace gap between the cars, with the Chevrolet Corvette C3 R being the quicker of the two in dry conditions, the race will take advantage of its smaller fuel tank. Corvette drivers will either have to pit for fuel or save fuel, which will decrease their advantage as the car's main strength is its straight line performance. The qualifying session will be wet to somewhat mitigate the Corvette's pace advantage and allow a more mixed starting grid.

Back in the 1970's pit lane speed limits did not exist, so this event doesn't have one either.

REGISTRATION

Maximum of 26 drivers, which is the maximum amount allowed on that track.

SCHEDULE:

• Practice - 16:00 BST (15 minutes)
• Qualifying - 16:15 BST (20 minutes)
• Race - 16:35 BST (50 laps, approx. 90 minutes)
