The hot summer days are over, time for some proper action on track!
DC-SimRacing welcomes you to the GT3 World Sprint Series! Get ready for some exciting battles, broadcasts and have a chance at winning prizes!
The GT3 World Sprint Series is a 5 round series running from October to December. Featuring 5 races every other Thursday. The maximum grid size is 48 cars. This series is for GT3 cars only. This series will contain 3 races of 60 minutes and 2 races of 90 minutes.
This series is free to enter!
First-come-first-serve event. Register quickly to secure your space on the grid. Once the grid is full, you can register as a reserve driver and then take any available grid slots should a driver drop out.
The car change deadline is 10-10-2023 23:59 CEST
This season we are using the new Grid Rating system that has recently been implemented by The SimGrid. This will allow people around the same skill level to be slotted in together. We might make changes to the number of slots per category, depending on the number of people subscribing to this competition.
As always, we reserve the right to remove anyone from a category if we suspect any kind of manipulation. Depending on the circumstances, in case of deliberate foul play this could lead to losing championship points.
CEST ends October 29.
This series will have live race stewarding and post race stewarding.
This series will use popularity ballast. If a car gets picked multiple times, it will get ballast for the entirety of the series. The ballast will be set after the car change deadline, and will not be changed during the series.
Each race will have one mandatory pit stop during a pit window of 40 minutes. There will be no requirements.
The fastest lap of the race is worth an additional two points.
If it's the case that the grid isn't completely filled up, it will be possible to sign up for a race using a wild card entry. People participating by wild card will not score points for the leaderboard, but will have the option to sign up for the remainder of the series.
Custom liveries made outside of the game are permitted in this series but please bear in mind that they are not officially supported by the game's developers. Custom liveries can be supplied in Discord. Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see the driver banned from the series.
The qualifying and the race will be streamed live on Youtube.
It is required to join our Discord for communication and drivers briefing.
If a driver is unavailable to attend a round in the championship, then use the withdraw function. This is found by clicking on the "Races" tab, and then "Admin" on the round you need to withdraw from. There you will find the withdraw button. Drivers are permitted two withdrawals in this series. Missing multiple races without withdrawal will result in disqualification.
