Race points scoring is detailed in the scoring section.
Simgrid usually automatically applies a penalty of 5 penalty points per race in the event of a no show. However some of our rounds are 3 races, some are 2 and some are single races meaning the penalty for missing one round could be more severe than another.
Therefore all rounds will receive 15 penalty points for a no show.
In rounds which feature multiple races the penalty will be added to race 1 of the meeting.
DRIVERS ARE EXPECTED TO MANAGE THEIR RACING/WITHDRAW STATUS FOR EACH ROUND
The stewards panel may award further penalties for an race incidents during the course of the season - these must be reported via the Simgrid incident reporting process and within 26 hours of the race. This deadline is also set by Simgrid and cannot be altered by the stewards.
All drivers are encouraged to a) records/stream their live races via YouTube/Twitch or another platform and b) to map the replay button to an easy to use control. An incident cannot be reported without the appropriate video evidence.
The maximum number of penalty points for the season is 65. Should a driver reach this level they will be marked as disqualified from the current season, however, stewards MAY allow the driver to continue racing 'on report' whereby their driving will be monitored and any further incidents may then result in that driver being excluded from the current season.
Stewards will award penalty points as appropriate per incident and will not be more lenient/strict depending on the drivers current penalty point tally.
