Porsche Carrera Summer Cup

Hosted by Online Racing Club ACC • PS on PlayStation Followers Only

These regulations were translated from German into English using a translation tool. In case of doubt, the German regulations always apply.

Foreword and Conditions of Participation

1.1. foreword

These regulations serve as the basis for fair racing and good interaction between all participants. All actions that are not listed here and contrary to those in 1.2. points listed or the general racing rules are also prohibited even if they are not listed below and will be sanctioned accordingly.

1.2. The ORC values

The online racing club stands for tolerance, respect and acceptance. Every voice is heard, respected and valued.

1.3. What do we expect from our members?

In order to be allowed to participate with us, you must bring the following with you: compliant driving behavior, general participation in the community, an impeccable tone with all members & exemplifying the ORC values at all times.

League Race Regulations

2.1. vehicle

Unless otherwise stated, the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup is used.

2.2. race distance

A race day consists of

60 minutes of free training (voluntary)

15 minutes qualification

30 minute race 1

30 minute race 2

Deviations from this are clearly announced.

2.3. Server Join and Settings

2.3.1. Joining the server is only allowed during free practice.

2.3.2. The server settings, if relevant, will be announced in the announcement of the respective race.

2.5. Race Rules

2.5.1. Fair racing!

Fair racing is the top priority in the ORC!

2.5.2. intentional collision

Deliberate ramming or revenge fouls can lead to a league exclusion!

2.5.4. Gentlemen's agreement!

The Gentlemen Agreement has been an unwritten rule among drivers in the Online Racing Club for years. What do we mean by the gentlemen's agreement? For us, the gentlemen's agreement is a kind of honorable behavior on the racetrack. For a more detailed explanation, we show an example here: Driver A is in a duel with driver B. Driver B attempts to overtake and hits him lightly, causing Driver A to slide. As a result, driver B wins the position. If driver B now swaps positions with driver A in the spirit of sportiness, we speak of a gentlemen's agreement. Should there be a complaint, such behavior has a strong mitigating effect. Incidents where Driver B hits Driver A in such a way that Driver A goes off the track/is injured/loses a lot of time are not affected.

2.5.5. duels

When attempting to overtake, be patient and not aggressive, because as a pursuing car you are usually responsible for conducting a non-contact duel. Pushing out the competitor in a duel by leaving too little space at the entrance or exit of the curve is prohibited. If another car is next to you, sufficient space must be left (contactless driving should be strived for!). Besides we define it as follows: If the front of the competitor's car is level with the middle of your car, that's already enough to give him space. Any movement during the braking process is prohibited if there are competitors in your vicinity. This means changing lanes in the braking zone up to the turn-in point is prohibited. Choose a line before braking and hold this line until the turn-in point. Note: The turn-in point can also move backwards or forwards if a competitor is in your vicinity. Make sure your competitor can react to your movement and/or is given adequate space. If a competitor is next to you on the straight, respect their position and avoid forcing off the track or bumping into them. Double lane changing or blocking (deliberately slowing down) is prohibited. Make sure that the pursuer has enough time to react to your movement when you change lanes and that there are no rear-end collisions. Double lane changes to break the slipstream are allowed, but only if you make sure that the pursuer cannot under any circumstances attempt to overtake on the straight and in the following corner. Note: This means that you can, for example, pull to the right once on a straight and then back to the left side of the track. Excessive "zigzagging" is not permitted.

2.5.6. Overtaking outside the track limits

If you overtake your competitor next to the race track, you have to let him pass again immediately and without risk, according to the gentlemen's agreement.

2.5.7. Qualification

Please note that we start with a relatively large field of riders and make sure that you have enough space on the track for your hotlap(s). Drivers who are on their out- or in-lap must give way to drivers on fast laps. If faster vehicles collide with slower vehicles during qualifying, the slower vehicle does not have to make it possible to overtake.

2.5.8. Weather Settings

Due to the dynamics in ACC, different, changing weather conditions are to be expected. The weather forecast will be announced with the respective race announcement and serves as a guide.

2.5.9 Rage Quit / Car retirement

Leaving the server during the qualification and the race can lead to strong lags of all participants, so connecting/disconnecting during the two mentioned sessions is forbidden.

Should there still be reasons for giving up, you are asked to park the car in the pits and wait for the end of the session.

3. Reports and protests

Should incidents occur during a race weekend that are not punished by ACC, drivers can submit corresponding applications.

The deadline for submission begins the morning after the respective race and ends 72 hours after the end of the race. Please take the opportunity to speak to the driver(s) concerned before submitting.

The applications are to be addressed to the organization and must contain the following:

Description of the incident

Driver(s) involved

Video material for evaluation

Since ACC is currently unable to save the replay, we recommend saving the race on the PS or setting up a transmission.

4. Criminal situations:

4,1. Dangerous Driving

Participating in a race requires mutual consideration and caution. Anyone who takes part in a race must behave in such a way that no one else is harmed, endangered, hindered or bothered more than the race situation requires. This also includes multiple lane changes and “moving under breaking”.

4.2. Unsafe return

If a vehicle leaves the track, it must carefully re-enter the track without interfering with other vehicles or forcing them off their line. The behavior and attentiveness of the driver are decisive for a penalty and the consequences for other drivers involved.

4.3. causing a collision

If there is contact between vehicles and other vehicles are disadvantaged. Depending on the situation and behavior of the drivers involved, a racing penalty ranging from a warning to disqualification will be imposed. In addition, penalty points are imposed according to the severity of the offence.

4.3. Finishing the race early

If you participate in our league races, we expect you to complete them. Leaving the lobby early is prohibited and will be severely punished. Private emergencies, health reasons and the like will of course not be penalized, but must be reported to the race commission or the race director in a timely manner! Ending the race prematurely will result in a qualification ban. Additional penalty points can be awarded for further unsportsmanlike behavior, such as parking the vehicle on/next to the track (yellow flag).

4.4. Parking/stopping on route

Should you need to stop en route, you are responsible for stopping at a convenient location. Parking/stopping on the route is strictly prohibited.
