STEWARDING
This is a list of possible penalties that can be handed out to drivers in the case of an incident
- Time penalties, starting at 5 seconds and increasing depending on severity in increments of 5
- Penalty points, starting at 1 point and increasing depending on severity in increments of 1
- Qualifying Ban, these can be given out separately in the case of severe blocking of another driver during a qualifying session
- (Multiple) Race Ban, these can be given out separate in the case of causing severe collisions with (multiple) other cars
- Removal from full time seat
- Removal from the league as a whole
Some examples
- Driver 1 pushes Driver 2 off track while making an overtake, Driver 2 can keep going, Driver 1 receives a 5 second time penalty
- Driver 1 rear-ends Driver 2 going into a corner, Driver 2 gets spun around, Driver 1 receives 2 penalty points and a 10 second time penalty
- Driver 1 receives blue flags for Driver 2 coming up behind, and does not allow Driver 2 to overtake, Driver 1 receives 1 penalty point
Please note that these are examples. Penalties handed out can be more lenient or harsher depending on the severity of the incident. Incidents will in most cases be penalised harsher if they occur in the opening stages of the race.
Further Penalties
Drivers receive additional penalties when they rack up multiple penalty points:
- 6 penalty points - Qualifying Ban. This will have to be served in the next race they attend
- 9 penalty points - Race Ban. This means that the driver will not be allowed to attend the next race in the championship
- 12 penalty points - Possible Ban from the Championship
