Title: Virtual Racing League - GT3 LEAGUE
The server will be set up for each race of the season at least ten days before the race. The password for entry will be announced on the Discord server.
During the race, the overall goal is to avoid contact between cars; all drivers in VRL are responsible for attempting to prevent such incidents. Avoid being overly aggressive when attempting an overtaking maneuver. Generally, it is the responsibility of the pursuing car to complete the pass in a safe and clean manner. The chance of accidents is particularly high at the beginning of the race, so please exercise increased caution. It's often safer to avoid highly risky maneuvers at the start. Races are seldom won heroically in the first lap.
1. By 1st October 2023, drivers must announce the team and car they will participate with in the season, as changing the team or car during the season will not be allowed.
2. During the race, it will not be allowed to join the server. All drivers must join during the practice session (20 mins) or after the qualifying session. An exception is when a driver is kicked from the server, then rejoining is allowed.
3. It is strictly forbidden to leave the lobby during the race, even after its conclusion. Drivers must wait until the server is restarted.
4. Drivers must adhere to proper on-track behavior and follow the signal flags.
5. During the qualifying or race, teleporting to the pits will not be allowed. Drivers must drive to the pits and then proceed with repairs. Drivers must refuel enough to return to the pits. Abandoning the car on the track will be penalized. (An exception is allowed if there is a hardware failure that would leave the driver stranded on the track).
6. Driving through other cars in the pit lane will not be allowed (minor passing during entry to the pit lane will not be penalized). Intentionally passing other cars during the formation lap will also not be allowed.
7. When exiting the pits, drivers must respect the pit exit line (do not cross the marked line).
8. After finishing the race, drivers must complete the lap and drive to the pits. Teleporting to the pits or staying on the track will not be allowed. Abandoning the car on the track will be penalized.
9. Drivers are allowed only cockpit views (applies to the pit lane as well).
10. During qualifying and the race, drivers are required to turn off in-game voice communication.
11. If a driver goes off-track, they must not re-enter the track in a way that endangers other racers. If the situation doesn't allow for a safe re-entry, the driver must wait until it's safe.
12. The use of assists such as Ideal Line and Stability Control is not allowed during the race.
13. Drivers are required to record a video of their race (60-minute recording on PS, stream) for the purpose of monitoring cockpit view compliance and resolving track incidents. (Failure to provide the recording will be penalized).
14. If a driver cannot participate in a race, they must notify someone from the admin team and withdraw from the race on the SimGrid platform (otherwise, the absence will be considered unexcused, and the driver will receive 10 penalty points). If a driver reaches a total of 30 penalty points, they will be excluded from the season and replaced by a substitute driver.
15. Excessive blinking is prohibited. (Two blinks are allowed) Drivers can warn others with blinking in the case of blue flags or an accident. Continuous blinking will be penalized.
