Any car changes must be submitted at least 1 hour before the servers start time. 4. Drivers who are unable to make a round MUST sign out via SimGrid at least 1 hourbefore the start of the event. 5. There are no reserve lists for this season. Should drivers fail to "sign out" 1 hour beforean event twice, their entries will be deleted and places offered to drivers with the relevantrole in the PosPer Discord. 6. Drivers are allowed to “sign out” for a maximum of 3 events throughout a season. Categories 1. We will have split categories racing in the same events. Classed as PRO & AM (classesto be amended depending on the number of entries). 2. Previous season results will be used to determine your classification for the PPGT4Season. If you’re new to racing, please contact an admin who will advise. 3. We reserve the right to move drivers where we see fit. General Etiquette Whilst “sim racing” isn't like real-life motorsport in the way you can dive for a gap with no care asto the physical, or mental cost of such a move. We still expect drivers to adhere to certain“unwritten” rules regarding race etiquette. ● If you gain a position through contact, we expect you to “redress” the position - We haveheavily penalised drivers in the past for not adhering to this. ● Any contact between cars is frowned upon. We love close racing, but “rubbing is racing”is not tolerated here. ● Treat others how you would expect to be treated. Never expect someone to “move over”because you have qualified out of your usual position. You’re all on track for the samereason, to have fun. Please try and remember that. ● Please take extra care on lap one. We are pleased to have a big grid, but that results ina lot of bunching and a very busy first corner. Stewarding 1. Stewards try to reach an unbiased and fair decision on all protests. Stewarding is usuallyperformed by 3 members of the admin team, who give up time freely to do this, so wewould ask you the drivers to thoroughly review any incidents before protesting andensure you have looked at them unbiasedly. If you have any questions on the protestresults, please contact one of the Admin team who will advise. 2. Stewards will review all protests and may review other incidents as they deemnecessary. This may include the entire first lap. 3. To ensure that irresponsible driving is penalised, the following penalties will be availableto the Race Stewards. a. Warning. b. Race Licence Penalty Points. c. Race position Penalty (based on infringements in the race and applied to thecurrent race) d. Championship points deduction. e. Race Disqualification. f. Ballast Penalty – When possible in Sim. g. Race Ban. h. Championship Ban. i. Permanent Ban from Positive Perception. 4. There are some specific penalties to be aware of that can be applied where and whenthe stewards see fit. a. Licence points per incident. b. Classified immediately behind the other driver and 1 licence point if you do notreturn the position as soon as safely possible (we take this very seriously!) c. Each driver has a maximum of 6 penalty points (which can carry through eachseason). d. Penalty points will be removed from your licence, for every 2 consecutiveincident-free races you will have 2 penalty points deducted. This can beincident-free races in any Positive Perception organised race. 5. Fun events outside of the PosPer GT4 (2) season can contribute to “Clean” races, butwill not count towards Race Bans. Protest Format 1. Protest forms will be available in the #protest-form-all-events channel in Discord. It is theresponsibility of the drivers to submit a protest form and to do so with the correctinformation, submitting a form with incorrect information may result in the incident notbeing reviewed. (Please make this as easy as possible for the Steward Team). 2. All protests need to be submitted within 24 hours after the event completion. Competitorswill be required to identify the time, place, competitors involved, the nature of the protestand where they believe it does not align with the race rules or etiquette. 3. Before you protest, have you reviewed the incident in a calm and measured manner?Have you checked the incident properly and from both drivers' points of view? Could youhave done anything differently? Ultimately did the incident cause you to lose positions, oraffect your race significantly? Blue Flags 1. Slower cars should always stay on their racing line when being lapped; it is the fastercar's responsibility to ensure a clean and safe pass is made. Any contact during a'lapping" overtake, will be looked at by the stewards if reported. 2. Blue flags should not be ignored. If you find yourself as the slower car that is beinglapped, you should allow the faster car through at the earliest and safest opportunity andwithin one lap. Make your driving as predictable as possible to allow a safe pass for thefaster car, i.e. no abnormal movements whilst driving. Session Rules 1. Qualifying - Please leave enough room to complete your laps without interfering with thedriver in front. Ensuring an incident-free qualifying session. If the car behind is on a "hotlap" and you are not, pull off the racing line (preferably on a straight) so as not to ruin adriver's lap. If both cars are on a hot lap, please back off and go again with a bigger gap. a. Any drivers found to have deliberately failed to set a qualifying time (ie. to do alast to first challenge) will have a drive-through penalty OR an SG30 penalty (pitlane length dependant) applied before the start of the race. b. On the first out lap, please do not overtake other cars unless it is VERY obviousthey are letting you by. There is usually bunching at the end of the lap as peopletry to find space to qualify cleanly 2. Pits are open for repairs at all times and races will feature varying mandatory pit optionsfor either fuel, tyres or both depending on the round. 3. Obey the pit entry and exit lines, as well as the speed limit on the pit road. 4. It is the driver's responsibility to know (in advance) which races require Tyres, Fuel orboth in the races with pit stops. This will be announced in the week before the event andduring the driver briefing. 5. Text chat via the in-game box is not allowed during any session until all cars havefinished. Use of this will incur a warning followed by a penalty, either during the sessionor retrospectively applied. 6. Weather settings will be released before each round to give drivers ample time toprepare for the coming races. a. The Practice server will always use the same values. b. The Practice server will have two 90 min sessions added. One for Q time, one forrace time. 7. The game will handle all penalties regarding start procedure, cut tracks and pit speedinfringements. These will not be cleared by the admin. 8. Start procedure will consist of one warm-up lap that the game will simulate. Server Settings 1. The practice server is the same as the race server and the conditions will be accuratewhen entrants go on to practise. 2. Entry list is enabled, if you haven’t signed up - you won’t be able to enter the server 3. The server will be LOCKED after qualifying has ended and the game has "rolled over" tothe grid for the race. You will NOT be able to enter the server once it has "rolled over". Custom Liveries We work in partnership with Awesome Sim Racing (ASR) for the provision and distribution ofcustom liveries from PPGT(6) effective indefinitely. This tool has been selected to ease theprocess for both those uploading liveries and those wanting to download liveries for theirbenefit.Liveries are to be uploaded to the ASR website (these are centrally available for othercommunities partnered with them) and uploaded to the relevant PosPer league you areparticipating in. A list of these “collections” can be found here. Should you have any questionson this process, please contact a PosPer Admin, or ASR directly who can provide additionalguidance.Liveries will be visible on the live broadcast referenced below so please refrain from runningliveries with any explicit graphics, language or connotations. PPGT - Points Scoring 1st - 302nd - 263rd - 244th - 225th - 206th - 19…… 25th - 1The championship scores will be decided from your best “rounds” (as opposed to previousseasons) and your best 5 rounds will count. Any ties will be decided by whoever scored the bestround score first, then the highest qualifying average. Points are awarded for both the“OVERALL” as well as “PRO/AM” categories. Broadcasting PPGT4 (2) may (subject to availability) be live-streamed on the Positive Perception YouTubechannel. As such, please avoid “Returning to Garage” wherever possible to retain an element ofreality in the broadcast (only during a race session). Please do not return to the garage at theend of the race. Parking up at Turn 1 is ok, but it makes the stream better/easier if cars are notin the pit lane. There will be an option for race interviews to be conducted for anyone who competes, if youwould like to join the Broadcast Team after the race then there is an “Interviews” Voice Chatchannel in the Positive Perception Discord Server. This is not mandatory so entirely at thedriver's discretion.Footnotes We would like everyone to have joined the server BEFORE qualifying starts, this is to decreasethe lag spikes we occasionally get with custom liveries.Running the liveries is entirely your choice. When someone joins and they have a custom livery(created outside the game) and you have the liveries installed, you WILL get a lag spike. Thereis nothing we can do about it. The safest option, if you don't wish to get lag spikes, is to NOT runthe liveries, but where's the fun in that? If someone joins during Q and causes a lag spike issue, they may be penalised. After Q ends, there will be a 5-minute break for comfort and car prep ahead of 60 min races
