SIMGRID X VCO grand finals TERMS & CONDITIONS
The protection of the dignity of the individual involved in Sim Racing is a fundamental construct of the SimGrid x VCO Grand Finals series. The specific rules for the behavior of drivers and teams (and their associates) are as follows;
- Prizes
- As of 17th May '23, no prizes for the SimGrid x VCO Grand Finals have been confirmed;
- If any prizes are made available for the SimGrid x VCO Grand Finals, these T&C's will be amended accordingly.
- Custom Livery Logo Placement
- 1x “SimGrid” Logo must be present on the doors of the competing car. It should be visible for broadcast purposes and thus of a reasonable size;
- 1x “VCO” Logo must be present anywhere on the side of the competing car. It should be visible for broadcast purposes and thus of a reasonable size;
- 1x "Coach Dave Academy" Logo must be present anywhere on the side or rear of the car. However it must be visible for broadcast purposes and thus of a reasonable size;
- Each team that participates in the Grand Finals will be representing the Host that they qualified from and must have the logo of that Host present on the bonnet/hood and rear of the car;
- The logo must be large and prominent on the car. It must be clearly visible and a clear identifier of what community is being represented by the car.
- The Series Organisers will be available for contact by drivers, whereby there is a need for clarification or reviewal of logo placement;
- To be shown on the YouTube broadcast, custom liveries must be packaged correctly and uploaded to this folder.
- Interview Rules
- Teams must be prepared to send a driver or team manager to interview if an interview is requested by the Series Organizer;
- Teams may be requested to attend an interview at any time - except during any of the active qualifying sessions;
- The team that qualifies on Pole position in each class must be prepared to attend a live interview after the Qualifying session;
- Teams and drivers are reminded that all race interviews are broadcast live, and thus all; Offensive/Unsportsmanlike and defamatory comments made during interviews may be penalized.
- Telemetry & Replays
- It is mandatory that drivers record telemetry on all laps set in official sessions of the SimGrid x VCO Grand Finals;
- Official sessions refers to Free Practice, Qualifying, and the Race;
- Failure to record and provide telemetry if requested by the Series Organizer will result in a penalty/disqualification.
- The driver that secures pole position in each class is required to submit their telemetry from Qualifying session before 50% of the race duration has been completed;
- Failure to submit the telemetry files in the provided time frame will result in the team being given a SG30 penalty and its associated Licence Points.
- Social Media Conduct
- Drivers posting negative, disruptive and/or brand-damaging content on social media about the following may result in the driver being disqualified from the series:
- SimGrid x VCO Grand Finals;
- Race Administration, Stewards or any series staff;
- Assetto Corsa Competizione (In the sphere of the SimGrid x VCO Grand Finals series);
- Fellow Teams & Drivers of the series;
- Any faults of Game Software/Broadcast Failure or similar, pertaining to the SimGrid x VCO Grand Finals.
- General Conduct
- All drivers are expected to respect the rights, dignity and worth of all competition participants, regardless of; Ability, Gender, Cultural Background or any factor that may lead to discrimination. Some key points that are reflected in the rules but are especially important are;
- Do not bully or conduct unsportsmanlike behavior to other competitors;
- Verbal abuse, provocation or aggression towards other competitors, series organizers and stewards are explicitly forbidden and will result in penalties and/or disqualification;
- In the event that you disagree with a decision of the stewards, teams can file their one appeal via the appeal form to submit an appeal against the decision and provide an explanation on why they disagree with the ruling. Any other reaction beyond this is a breach of the general conduct and will result in penalties and/or disqualification.
