OVERVIEW
Welcome to the Monster Energy Suzuka 24 Hours by BUSR in support of Special Effect!
BUSR is kicking off the summer with a trip to Suzuka for 24 hours of fierce, multiclass competition, in support of the incredible work of Special Effect! With prizes for the top finishers in GT3 and GT4, a superpole qualifying session to determine grid order, and a 60(!) cars on the grid, there will be no shortage of action starting from the week-long qualification period all the way to the final minutes of the race.

REGISTRATION & QUALIFICATION PROCESS
You may register any number of teams for this event and if they qualify, they will be allowed to participate in the race. Individual teams may attempt to qualify in both GT3 & GT4, with the best result (based on position in the qualifying leaderboard) deciding which class the team will take part in. If the individual team qualifying for the two classes has a preference for which class they would prefer, the BUSR Discord will have a specific channel dedicated to letting the Race organisers know.
Register an Individual Team
Make sure you have a minimum of 3 drivers available to race in your team, then select “ Register” and fill in the registration form. For the class, either select “ Qualifiers” (for GT3) or “ Qualifiers (GT4)” (for GT4). Please note that the car you choose to do qualifying in will be the car you do the race in.
Register a Second Team
Follow the process in “ Register an Individual Team” . Make sure the drivers you sign up are different from the ones that you have already registered. Please make sure that if you are running this second team under the same name as the first one, when registering you give it a unique tag to allow the Race Organisers to easily identify which team is which. For example (BUSR Team Real - #1, BUSR Team Real - #2)
Register a Single Team to Qualify in Both Classes
Follow the process in “ Register an Individual Team” and when it comes to selecting your class, select your preferred class. To qualify in the other class please contact < Wolf of Québec#9529 > on the BUSR Discord server and follow the instructions that will be provided.
Paying the Entry Fee
There is a £ 10 entry fee payable upon registering for the event and is refunded if you fail to qualify for the event, this fee will go directly to Special Effect, the entry fee must be paid 24 hours before the scheduled race start or the team will not be allowed to race.
Qualifying
The qualifiers will start at 29-05-21 @ 1500 BST and finish at 09-06-21 @ 2300 BST. The top 40 teams of GT3 and top 20 teams of GT4 will make it through to the race. The P1-10 of each class will go through to a Super-Pole qualifying to decide those starting positions for the race, while the rest of the grid will be decided based on their times in the qualifiers.

The qualification servers will open at 1500 BST on Saturday 29th May.
The qualification servers will close at 2300 BST on Wednesday 9th June.
Qualifying leaderboard will be linked when available
*Teams who have been invited to race in the event still have to follow the same registration process and are asked to participate in the qualifiers to allow the Race Organisers to determine starting positions and eligibility for Super-pole participation. Invited teams will be guaranteed a slot in the race regardless of where they qualify.
*The number of cars allowed for the race will be 40 GT3s and 20 GT4s.
*The top 10 teams that did not successfully qualify will be put into the “ Reserve” list where if a qualified team drops out, they will be able to fill their slot. Upon accepting the slot, the team will be required to pay the entry fee.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
All teams that enter the series must agree to abide by the BUSR GT Series Rulebook (Available in full on discord) and Livery Guidelines for the Event.
PRIZE POOL
Prizes are being generously provided by our partners at Monster Energy and The Sim Grid! Teams will need to provide contact information if they finish in the top 3 of their respective categories. Prizing is as follows:
1st of each class:
- 1x A piece of the Mercedes AMG F1 W11 championship winning car
- 1x Monster Energy branded mini-fridge
- Monster Energy stock drop for all drivers of the team
- 1x Coach Dave Academy setup bundle of choice for whole team
2nd and 3rd of each class:
- Monster Energy stock drop for all drivers of the team

STEWARDING
There will be both live and post-race stewarding throughout the event.
RULES
PIT STOPS AND STINTS
This event imposes a 75 minutes driver stint limit. The stint timer stops when you enter the pitlane and is reset upon exiting the pit lane (unless you are serving a penalty). The game will automatically apply a Drive Through penalty if the stint limit is exceeded.
Each driver must drive at least one stint during the race. Teams will receive a penalty of 130 seconds if a driver does not drive a stint.
Maximum Driver Time: 9 hours
There are no mandatory number of pit-stops.
BOP
Popularity ballast will be used for this event. The more of the same type of cars there are, the higher the ballast.
Detailed ballast numbers:
1-5 Cars }- 0kg
6 Cars }- 20kg
7 Cars }- 30kg
8+ Cars }- 40kg
*Maximum ballast possible is 40kg.
*Teams may change their cars before the qualifiers but teams MUST do their qualifying laps in the car they will race in.
*Popularity ballast will be applied after the qualifiers in time for the super-pole and race.
If you are unable to change cars please contact a BUSR event admin.
ABSENT TEAM MATE
This is a driver swap event where each team is required to have at least 3 drivers at the race. However, in the event that a teammate is unavailable for the race, there are 3 options available to the team:
1 - Replace the unavailable driver with somebody else. #find-a-team on the BUSR or The Sim Grid Discord server can be used to help source a replacement driver if necessary.
2 - Withdraw the team from the event, the process of which will be explained further down this page.
CUSTOM LIVERIES
Custom liveries made outside of the game are permitted in this event but please bear in mind that they are not officially supported by the game's developers.
The event will be live streamed on https://www.twitch.tv/busrofficial and custom liveries can be shared to the stream broadcaster in a dedicated channel on discord.
If your team wishes to run with a custom livery, the BUSR logo and Monster Energy logo must be included in the livery and located in a visible position, full livery guidelines will be available on the discord. We also encourage you to include the Special Effect logo in your livery. The Sim Grid and Coach Dave Academy logos are also encouraged as partners of the event, but not required.
Livery templates with pre-placed logos will be provided although not mandatory to use.
Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery is not allowed.
To avoid the significant lag that custom liveries cause, we suggest that teams run the livery but without the .png file. To avoid problems Do not run the liveries of other teams under any circumstances. The files are shared for use of the broadcaster only.
WITHDRAW AND RESERVES
If a team is unavailable to attend the event, then withdraw said team’ s registration from the event and contact < Wolf of Québec#9529 > to notify him of your withdrawal.
If a team has withdrawn from the race, but wish to attend the race after all, please contact < Wolf of Québec#9529 > as the slot may have already been filled by a Reserve team.
If you are a reserve team, you will be contacted by a Race Organiser if you get a slot.
