Welcome to the GIR G-CUP: Manufacturer series. This championship is all about the best car brand and its driver. Pick your favourite manufacturer, and win with it! The best driver & Manufacturer will be the crowned cup champion. This means that the manufacturer that wins, will win for all manufacturer's on the grid!
Drivers will fight for the Driver's title, but also for the Manufacturer title. This means that there will be multiple driver's on the grid with this title! For example, if a Mercedes driver wins a race, all Mercedes drivers will get the manufacturer's victory!
A G-CUP race weekend is not very unique to others. Starting off with a 30 minutes practice that includes a briefing at the end, to be followed up with a 15 minutes qualifying session to show real pace to the world of Simracing. Points will be scored in the 60 minutes sprint race of the Manufacturer series, during these sessions a 5 minute 'mental warmup' will be set up. Summarized 18:00 GMT: 30 Minutes practice 18:15 GMT: 10-15 Minutes Briefing 18:30 GMT: 15 Minutes qualifying 18:50 GMT: 60 Minutes race
A Manufactures Grand Prix will include 1 mandatory pitstop where the driver will have to change his/her tires. The driver is not allowed to refuel the car which means that at the start of the Grand Prix all cars will have a full load of fuel. There is a 20 minutes pitwindow during the Grand Prix, which means that your mandatory pitstop is required to be in this window.
In the GeeSTAX Motorsport Discord, there is a channel in the GIR category named: 'GIR-Report-Form'. This is a small form that you have to fill in in a personal Ticket you create above this form (In the Discord-channel). It will result you a valid reports that will be looked at by the GIR Stewards. The deadline for these incident reports are 26 hours after the end of a race. Incidents after this deadline won't be looked at, though there could be an expection. Exceptions will be discussed with owner Kian Golshayan. Every penalty that will be given to a driver, will also result in an extra penalty point on their license. 6 penalty points is a following race ban.
Every G-CUP event will include a Race Briefing, during the Free Practice. All participants are required to join this Briefing, because all important points will be mentioned in here. The briefing will take about 10 to 15 minutes, if it fills in time of the qualifying session, the Q session will be restarted after.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is familiar with the features: 'Return to Pits' and the Ingame chat. Both Features are not allowed during the Qualifying And Race session. If you do make a use of one of these features / both, you will get an instant penalty for that. During the Free Practice you are allowed to use these, as long as you park safely off track during your Return to Pits use.
To bring in more excitement and racing during a G-CUP Manufacturer Grand Prix, the GIR have decided to summon a Safety Car on the field. The Safety Car will be used after an incident that was too intense. The Safety Car will be activated if there has been an on track incident that involved atleast 2 cars or more that crashed on track. Whenever a Safety Car period activates, the Live Steward will announce this in the ingame chat, then he will drive out of the pits with the Safety Car and wait for the leader. Once the whole field is in a Safety Car queue, the Safety Car will stay out for atleast 1 full lap. If the Safety car goes in that lap, the live steward will announce this on time. Whenever this gets announced, the leader is allowed to make a gap between him/her and the Safety Car, and the Safety Car will enter the pits. Leader will lead the pace, and make the race restart, this has to happen before the finish line. If the leader doesn't restart before the finish line, the race still goes on.
