Welcome to the New World Sim Racing GT3 Sprint Championship!
All skill levels are encouraged to sign up as we all learn from each other and work towards being better drivers.
You must join our Discord in order to participate in the GT3 Series.
Race Server Password will be posted in Discord.
In order to accommodate all skill levels we place drivers into one of three classes: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The championship scoring is done on a per-class basis, so you can still win your class even if you place 10th overall. Driver placements are determined by previous season results, and/or Simgrid race history. We may also move a driver up/down during the season if we determine they have been placed incorrectly.
Please sign up for the GT3 class with the car you want to run, we will place people in their respective splits before the season starts.
The championship consists of 10 weekly races with two dropped rounds. These can be races you miss/sign out of, or your lowest points races if you attend every event.
The race server will go online at 5p PT / 8p ET on Sunday and consist of the following sessions, unless otherwise specified:
Qualifying
The 30 minute qualifying session will be split into two parts:
Race
Races will be 60 minutes with one mandatory pit stop unless otherwise specified. There is no pit window, however your pit stop is minimum 25s with mandatory refueling. Tire change is not mandatory.
Missing Races
While we would love to have a full grid every race we do understand life happens and you might need to miss a race or two. If you do need to miss a race, please sign out so we can keep track or have someone in the waitlist join. Please note: If you miss the first two races of the season without signing out you will be dropped from the series.
We emphasize clean racing above all else here at NWSR, because we understand the frustration of being crashed out on lap 1 of the only race you can participate in that week.
All incidents are recorded automatically and reviewed after the race by our stewards. Lap 1 incidents are given double penalties and all penalty points accumulated over a season are tracked.
You can find our rule book here.
