SLIPSTREAM INTERNATIONAL WORLD SERIES SEASON 2 - '23 S1
Overview:
🏆Championship structure:
The championship runs for 4 months, with 3 themed series of 5 races, where the 5th round of each will be double the length and double points race.
At the end of the 3 series/15 regular races, we will have the Title Race for which track will not be known in advance and practice server will be setup only for 48hours. This last race will also give double the points.
Because of the length of the championship and our approach to it, we allow one drop out per series (a total of 3). That means that if you run all races, your 3 worst ones won't be counted.
- Intercontinental GT - Tracks From America, Africa, Asia And Australia
- Europe GT - Tracks From Central And Southern Europe
- East And West GT - Tracks From Western And Eastern Europe, And Uk
- Title Race (It Will Be One Of The 7 Circuits Not Raced In The Regular Season)
🏁Race format:
Each race event features:
- 30-minute official practice
- 15-minute qualifying
- Followed by a 60 or 90 minute race (Endurance).
No fueling allowed for standard 60-minute-races. Allowed for endurance 90-minute-races 1 pitstop with tire change mandatory.
🌧️Weather conditions:
- We will run close to real weather forecast set 1 week before the race, with weather variability depending on the forecast itself. If multiple wet races happen in a row, the admin team reserves the right to change it to dry with the proper communication to the drivers.
🛤️Practice Server:
Practice server will be always set up one week in advance, after the completion of each week's race. It won't have a password.
The communication to the drivers will contain the server setup details like:
- Cloud coverage ⛅
- Rain probability 🌧️
- Weather randomness 🔀
- Time multiplier ⏱️
- Temperature 🌡️
⚔️Competitiveness:
- Ideally, two tiers will be created, depending on the amount of drivers signing up at the start of the season. If we have +30 drivers in total, the faster drivers will be in the highest tier and the slower drivers in the second tier.
🐕🦺Assists:
- All tiers will have the maximum stability control setting to zero and auto-steer disabled. Other than the ones mentioned here, all assists are allowed to be used.
🗺️Regions:
- Our Assetto Corsa Competizione PC championship runs on a very particular schedule that enables all Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia to compete. Drivers from all around the world are allowed to take part in the leagues, as long as their connection is suitable enough.
🌙Day/time: Race events will take place on Saturday (mornings for Europe/Africa, afternoon for Asia/Australia) from 8:00am (GMT time).
👮Stewarding and live streaming:
- One admin will be in charge of live streaming and stewarding
- Simgrid's incident reporting functionality will be used for after-the-race reporting, with a window of 24 hours.
- The stewards can and will hand out penalties without reports if they deem it appropriate and necessary
- Each driver will have 15 license points. Penalties can add time and/or subtract license points.
- 5 penalty points, the driver won't be able to qualify in the next race
- 10 penalty points, the driver won't be able to race in the next race (no wildcard)
