GENERAL
Please ensure your discord nickname (in the Positive Perception Endurance Discord) matches your real name for ease of use for stewards and admins.
Signups are to be done via the SIMGRID website. No other signups will be available. If you are having difficulty please contact an admin. YOU MUST BE ENTERED INTO THE DISCORD SERVER BY RACE DAY AT THE ABSOLUTE LATEST.
Minimum of 2 drivers per Team per event; an unlimited number of drivers can be on a team's roster.
Abuse towards others will not be tolerated. Act as you would expect to act whilst racing on any other server.
Weather to be on a random setting per event, but keeping to realistic levels (IE No flooded tracks or horrendous temps)
Custom liveries will be permitted.
It is the responsibility of TEAMs entered to ensure their details are correct on SimGrid for the entry list no later than 22:00 hours on the day before an event.
ETIQUETTE
As above, abuse towards others will not be tolerated.
Please obey all procedures outlined in this document, they have been drawn up to create a safe and consistent ruleset to ensure fair play and great racing.
SPECIFICS
Qualifying - will be run on the same server ahead of the race taking place. There will be an hour qualifying session for ALL 3 events and your best time will be used to set the grid.
Please leave enough room to have a safe qualifying session. If the car behind is on a "hotlap" and you are not, pull off the racing line (preferably on a straight) so as not to ruin a driver's lap. If both cars are on a hotlap; it is the faster driver's responsibility to pass cleanly. The stewards team will hand out penalties if there is any deliberate "holding up" happening. You're all grown-ups, you should know what to do. Basically, if you catch the car ahead, it is not their fault, it is yours and you should act accordingly.
RACING
Obey the pit entry and exit lines, as well as the speed limit on pit road.
There is a stint timer of 70 minutes in place for all events.
Maximum permitted driving time will vary depending on event race distance, but expect it to be up to 70% race distance per driver.
The game will handle all stop/go and drive-through penalties. These will not be cleared during the race.
All flags in game should be obeyed, especially slowing down and not overtaking under yellow or double waved yellow flags.
Blue flags; whilst lapping a slower car, the faster driver is the one responsible for making a clean pass. The slower car may move offline enabling this to happen safely, but it is not expected and should never be assumed. If a faster car causes a collision with a slower car, expect penalties to be applied for dangerous overtaking. Cars should be let through under blue flags within 1 racing lap.
If contact is made with another car, the place should be returned within 1 lap of the circuit.
End of the race - due to the events being live streamed, please complete a cool down lap instead of pulling off and returning to pits.
STEWARDING
Live stewarding is in action for the entirety of the series.
A minimum of two stewards will be present at all times.
Stewards' decisions are final.
From the end of the race, you have 48 hours to submit any protest (for incidents not taken care of during the event) via the form that will be made available on the Positive Perception Endurance discord.
Stewards will administer penalties via in game chat, with a note being placed into the Positive Perception Endurance discord in the appropriate channel.
More details on penalties and severity will be published ahead of round 1 on the discord.
Liveries
Custom liveries both created in and outside the game are permitted, and full instructions for uploading and syncing these liveries using the Awesome Simracing App are available in the Positive Perception Endurance discord.
Please refrain from any politically charged, or offensive liveries. The admin teams reserve the right to remove any team livery that features anything we believe will cause offence.
Liveries will need to be uploaded into the Awesome Simracing collection. Details on how to do this and access the collection can be found in the Discord server.
Points
Drivers will score individual points throughout the series, giving teams the option to run different drivers should one be unavailable.
Points breakdown will be available before Round 1.
Other
As this is primarily driver swap racing, please familiarise yourself with the procedures for doing a swap. Special attention should be given to knowing who is driver 1 on your team entry.
We will cater for ONE server restart in the event of a team entering in the wrong order. If this happens again, the event will continue as planned so please treat with care.
Weather setting will be finalised no later than 2 weeks before the event is due to start. The temperatures will be realistic for the continent the race track is based on.
Practice servers for both driver swap and solo practice will be available with the same weather settings as predicted for the race no later than 2 weeks before the event starts.
