General Format The PosPerGT season 6 is a 6 round series using any generation of GT3 cars available from Assetto Corsa Competizione. With tracks taken from votes from the drivers of previous series. Custom liveries are accepted and encouraged! Details for each round will be posted ahead of time.

We welcome drivers of all ability levels to the PosPerGT league, be it your first time, or an experienced racer, there is always someone to race against. Specific Rules

Cars allowed

All cars from the GT3 class in Assetto Corsa Competizione are available for this championship. Cars not available are as follows;

  • Cup Class Cars

  • GT4 Class Cars

  • TCX Class Cars

Categories

1)    We will have split categories racing in the same events. Classed as PRO, SILVER & AM (classes to be amended depending on number of entries).

2)    Previous season results will be used to determine your classification for the PPGT Season. If youโ€™re new to racing, please contact an admin who will advise.

3)    Should you wish to change cars, you will potentially move up a category. If already in the Pro category, you will lose 50 points should you change cars. (Admin reserve the right to move anyone to a different category if performance dictates during Round 1)

Protest Format

1)    Protest forms will be available in the #protest-form-all-events channel in discord. It is the responsibility of the drivers to submit a protest form and to do so with the correct information, failure to submit a form with the correct information will result in the incident maybe not being reviewed. (Please make this as easy as possible for the Steward Team).

2)    All protests need to be submitted within 24 hours after the event. Competitors will be required to identify the time, place, competitors involved, the nature of the protest and where they believe it does not fall in line with the race rules or race etiquette.

3)    Before you protest, have you reviewed the incident in a calm and measured manner? Have you reviewed the incident properly and from both drivers' points of view? Could you have done anything differently? Ultimately did the incident cause you to lose positions, or affect your race significantly?

4)    Stewards try to reach an unbiased and fair decision on all protests. Stewards are made up of David Wressell, Mark Raddenbury, Richard Pixsley and Jamie Buchanan, who give up time freely to do this, so we would ask you the drivers to thoroughly review any incidents before protesting and ensure you have looked at it in an unbiased manner. If you have any questions on the protest results, please contact one of the Admin team who will advise.

Notes:

To ensure that irresponsible driving is penalised, the following penalties will be available to the Race Stewards.

โ€ข Warning.

โ€ข Race Licence Penalty Points

โ€ข Race position Penalty (based on infringements in the race and applied to the current race)

โ€ข Championship points deduction

โ€ข Race Disqualification

โ€ข Ballast Penalty โ€“ when possible in Sim

โ€ข Race Ban

โ€ข Championship Ban

โ€ข Permanent Ban from Positive Perception

Some specific penalties to be aware of

โ€ข 2 Licence points per incident

โ€ข Classified immediately behind the other driver and 1 licence point if you do not return the position as soon as safely possible (we take this very seriously!)

Each driver has a maximum 6 penalty points (which can carry through each season). Penalty points will be removed from your licence, for every 2 consecutive incident free races you will have 2 penalty points deducted. This can be incident free races in any Positive Perception organised race.

Fun events outside of the PosPerGT(6) season can contribute to โ€œCleanโ€ races, but will not count towards Race Bans.

Blue Flags

1)    Slower cars should always stay on their racing line when being lapped; it is the faster cars responsibility to ensure a clean and safe pass is made. Any contact during a 'lapping" overtake, will be looked at by the stewards if reported..

2)    Blue flags should not be ignored. If you find yourself as the slower car that is being lapped, you should allow the faster car through at the earliest and safest opportunity and within one lap. Make your driving as predictable as possible to allow safe moving of the faster car, i.e. no abnormal movements whilst driving.

Racing Rules

1)    Qualifying - Please leave enough room to have a safe qualifying session. If the car behind is on a "hot lap" and you are not, pull off the racing line (preferably on a straight) so as not to ruin a driver's lap. If both cars are on a hotlap; it is the faster driver's responsibility to pass clean. (The safer option would be to back off and go again with a better gap).

2)     Pits are open for repairs at all times and races will feature varying mandatory pit options for either fuel, tyres or both depending on the round.

3)    Obey the pit entry and exit lines, as well as the speed limit on pit road.

4)    It is the drivers responsibility to know (in advance) which races require Tyres, Fuel or both in the races with pit stops.

5)    Custom liveries - We are running custom liveries created outside of the game. In-game custom creations are fine too, as well as the standard in-game liveries of the various teams. We are in partnership with Awesome Sim Racing to assist with the provision and distribution of these. See the Custom Liveries section of this document for guidance on how to do this.

6)       Text chat via the in-game box is not allowed during any session until all cars have finished. Use of this will result in a penalty, either during the session or retrospectively applied.

7)    Weather settings will be released before each round to give drivers ample time to prepare for the coming races. The Practice server will always use the same values.

8)    The series runs fortnightly.

9)        The game will handle all penalties regarding start procedure, cut tracks and pit speed infringements. These will not be cleared by the admin.

10)    Start procedure will consist of one warm up lap that the game will simulate. The simulation will take care of any start infringement during this period. Penalties gained, will not be cleared by server admin for any reason.

  • During the race, all penalties will be handled by the simulation and will not be cleared by any admin. Drivers need to be aware of the types of penalty they may receive in game and how to serve them.

  • Specific Race Rules - Technical Rules i.e. Ping/Competitor issue/Server Issues It is the competitorโ€™s responsibility to ensure they have access to the practice and race servers. Any issues need to be reported to any admin a minimum of 2 days before the race. Please note, issues within the 2-day period will not be corrected until after the race. To enable a consistent experience for everyone during Practice, Qualification and Race, Positive Perception expects that from time to time there will be issues arising with competitors, the server or the quality of their internet connection. To ensure the experience everyone receives, it is expected that a server ping of lower than 200ms will be required. If it is identified that the Competitors ping is consistently higher, they will be expected to leave the server to resolve the issue. However, if the situation isnโ€™t resolved then any Admin reserves the right to remove the Competitor from the server to ensure the overall experience is maintained. If a competitor has an issue with a dropped connection during qualifying or race, the session will not be restarted. The server is locked at the end of qualifying, so any driver who disconnects will not be able to rejoin. If the time exceeds the defined wait time of 5 minutes, the session will be allowed to commence.

Server Settings

1)     The practise server is the same as the race server and the conditions will be accurate when entrants go on to practise

2)    Entry list is enabled, if you havenโ€™t signed up - you wonโ€™t be able to enter the server

3)    The server will be LOCKED after qualifying has ended and the game has "rolled over" to the grid for the race. You will NOT be able to enter the server once it has "rolled over".

  • An exception to this is any โ€œdouble headerโ€ rounds where the server will NOT be locked. Please confer with the admin before joining to ensure lag is kept to a minimum.

Custom Liveries

We work in partnership with Awesome Sim Racing (ASR) for the provision and distribution of custom liveries from PPGT(6) effective indefinitely. This tool has been selected to ease the process for both those uploading liveries and those wanting to download liveries for their benefit.

Liveries are to be uploaded into the ASR website (these are centrally available for other communities partnered with them) and uploaded to the relevant PosPer league you are participating in. A list of these โ€œcollectionsโ€ can be found here. Should you have any questions on this process, please contact a PosPer Admin, or ASR directly who can provide additional guidance.

Liveries will be visible on the live broadcast referenced below so please refrain from running liveries with any explicit graphics, language or connotations.

Success Ballast

For PPGT(6) and further championships indefinitely, there is the introduction of Success Ballast. This will be applied based on your previous round race position as per the list below, and will accumulate until a maximum of 30kg per car has been reached. Ballast will stay on your car for the course of the season and will not be removed irrespective of previous results. Ballast will be applied to in-class results, not against overall race standings.

1st Position - 15kg

2nd Position - 10kg

3rd Position - 5kg

Broadcasting

For the first time, PPGT(6) will be live streamed on the Positive Perception YouTube channel. As such, it is requested that you avoid โ€œReturning to Garageโ€ wherever possible to retain an element of reality to the broadcast (only during a race session).

There will be an option for race interviews to be conducted for anyone who competes, if you would like to join the Broadcast Team after the race then there is an โ€œInterviewsโ€ Voice Chat channel in the Positive Perception Discord Server. This is not mandatory so entirely at the driver's discretion.

Foot Notes

We would like everyone to have joined the server BEFORE qualifying starts, this is to decrease the lag spikes we occasionally get with custom liveries.

Running the liveries is entirely your choice. When someone joins and they have a custom livery (created outside the game) and you have the liveries installed, you WILL get a lag spike. There is nothing we can do about it. The safest option, if you don't wish to get lag spikes, is to NOT run the liveries, but where's the fun in that!

If someone joins during Q and causes a lag spike issue, they will be penalised.

After Q ends, there will be a 5 minute break to have a comfort break before the race starts.
