OVERVIEW
The next sprint series to come out of SOP Motorsport is here and we are going all Italian. This is the Italian Job. You must join our DISCORD. This championship will feature just 3 rounds across a bi-weekly championship. We will be visiting all the Italian tracks on ACC. Misano, Monza and Imola. We will have a GT3 class (22 drivers) and a GT4 class (22 drivers) in this series so we can have a proper multiclass championship on Italian shores.
REGISTRATION
The first 22 drivers to register in each class will secure a slot in the series. We will have 10 reserves for each class in this championship too and so if registration is full, take one of the reserve spots in the class you want be in and you will be moved into a permanent spot if a driver withdraws. This championship is free to enter.
EVENT TIMETABLE
Practice - 19:30 BST (10 minutes) Qualifying - 19:40 BST (20 minutes - 10 minutes per split) Race - 20:00 BST (60 minute races)
PIT STOPS AND STINTS
Every round will require one mandatory stop for tyres only, you will be limited to just 3 tyre sets for the entire weekend. Once you are in the server, if you leave the server and rejoin again between sessions to reset your tyres you will be handed a 10s penalty. NO REFUELLING in the pitstops either, and this will be disabled. You must fill your tank to start the race and the fuel tank gets locked.
STEWARDING
This series will adopt post-race stewarding only. Follow the incident report feature within the SOP Discord.
CUSTOM LIVERIES
The use of custom liveries made outside of the game is permitted in this sprint series but please bear in mind that they are not officially supported by the game developers and their use can induce significant lag for the user. Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see that driver banned from the series. To avoid the significant lag that custom liveries bring, we suggest that drivers run the livery but without the .png file. and that they do not load any other drivers' livery into their own pc.
WITHDRAW AND RESERVES
If a driver is unavailable to attend a round in the championship, then use the withdraw function. This is found by clicking on the `Races` tab, and then `Admin` on the round you need to withdraw from. There you will find the withdraw button. Please check the info tab to see how many sign-outs are permitted. If a driver has withdrawn from a race but wishes to attend the race after all, please contact a staff member as the slot may have already been filled by a reserve driver.
