This event will use the SimGrid Code of Conduct and Sporting Code regulations found here.
However, please be aware of the following additional rules that are applicable to this event;
SAFETY CAR
- The Coach Dave 6H of Suzuka will make use of the iRacing Safety Car. The Safety Car will be called out at the discretion of the Admin present.
- While under Safety Car, drivers must follow the instructions given to them by the sim.
- iRacing will close the pit lane when the Safety Car is first called. While the pit lane is closed, teams should avoid entering the pits otherwise they will be given a penalty;
- Any penalty given by iRacing for entering a closed pit lane will not be removed;
- To avoid a penalty, teams should only pit once the pit lane has re-opened.
- iRacing will handle wave-arounds for lapped cars automatically;
- This will be overridden manually by an admin if cars due to receive a wave-around do not receive one.
- Lapped cars will receive a wave-around if;
- The lapped car stays out of the pit lane during the Safety Car period;
- The lapped cars are behind the Safety Car AND ahead of the race leader on the race track.
- To minimise the time spent under Safety Car conditions, there is no requirement for the all the cars (lapped or otherwise) to catch back up to the field before the race will resume.
