To ensure that we get a variety of manufacturers on the grid, each manufacturer is given a soft cap of 5 cars on the grid. A manufacturer which is at the soft cap can still be chosen by a team, however the manufacturer will then receive a popularity ballast weight of 20KG. This will then increase in steps of 10KG for each additional selection of that manufacturer. E.g if the Mercedes AMG (both variants) is selected 8 times, then all teams using the car will have a ballast of 40KG for the event. Teams can either do the event with the ballast or select another manufacturer.
Aston Martin - 5/5
Audi - 1/5
Bentley- 5/5
BMW- 3/5
Ferrari- 6/5 (20kg ballast for exceeding cap)
Honda- 0/5
Jaguar- 0/5
Lamborghini- 2/5
Lexus- 2/5
McLaren- 6/5 (20kg ballast for exceeding cap)
Mercedes- 3/5
Nissan- 0/5
Porsche- 3/5
Drivers are limited to a stint timer of 65minutes. This stint timer is reset upon leaving the pit lane (although not if you're serving a drive through penalty). Drivers can make their pit stops whenever they like within that 65minute stint timer, however your team will receive a penalty if you exceed the stint timer.
The team will receive a penalty of 130seconds if all drivers do not drive a stint.
3 Driver Teams - 360minutes
4 Driver Teams - 270minutes
Dry tyre sets for the race will be limited to 12.
This race will have both live and post-race stewarding. All reports are to be made through the Google form which is available on a dedicated channel on The Sim Grid Discord.
The use of custom liveries made outside of the game are permitted for this event but please bear in mind that they are not officially supported by the game developers and their use can induce significant lag for the user.
The race will be live streamed on YouTube and custom liveries can be shared in a dedicated channel on discord for the stream broadcaster to run.
If you are running with a custom livery, it must include the logo of The Brain Tumour Charity.
Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see the team banned from the series.
To avoid the significant lag that custom liveries bring, we suggest that drivers run the livery but without the .png file.
