Motorsport Australia is on the lookout for an individual to represent Australia in the Esports Cup at the upcoming 2022 FIA Motorsport Games in October.
This event is comprised of two races, with the overall winner being crowned with a trip to France for the FIA Motorsport Games.
To be eligible to enter the Motorsport Australia FIA Motorsport Games Qualifier you must;
To register for this event, click the "Register" button. On the next screen, select your car and the desired car #, select the event reminders (optional), agree to the disclaimer and then click "Register Now!"
All drivers that enter this event must agree to abide by the Sporting Code and Terms & Conditions of the series.
This event will have both live and post race stewarding.
Stewards will investigate collisions themselves, however drivers can use the report forms made available in the discord to report any rule violations and bring them to the attention of the stewards. The report forms will close 15 minutes after Race 2 ends.
The driver who accumulates the most points across the two races will receive Motorsport Australia sponsored entry fee, airfares and accommodation for their trip to France, where they will represent Australia in the Esport Cup at the FIA Motorsport Games in Marseille, France on 26-30 October.
In the event that two drivers are equal on points after the two races (e.g. Driver 1 finishes 1st and 2nd and Driver 2 finishes 2nd and 1st) then there must be a tiebreaker to determine Motorsport Australia's winner.
The first tiebreaker will be an average of qualifying positions across the two races (e.g. Driver 1 qualifies 1st and 5th so their average is 3 and Driver 2 qualifies 2nd and 1st so their average is 1.5 = Driver 2 is the winner).
In the event that the drivers have an equal qualifying average position, then best race lap will be used as the tiebreaker instead.
Qualifying and both races will have broadcast and commentary on the SimGrid Youtube channel.
Live timing is also available on the SimGrid PitWall server.
Drivers will be able to use their own custom liveries for this event. When making your own custom livery, the livery guidelines in the Sporting Code and Terms & Conditions must be followed. Custom liveries must then be uploaded here.
