We want to thank Jeremy Donadieu from PRB for letting us use his script for the prequal rules
ELIGIBILITY
The 45 drivers registered in the prequalification are eligible to access the prequal server. There will be an entrylist enforcing the drivers that can take part.
If an eligible driver decides to withdraw during the prequal week, we will adjust the entrylist ASAP and a registered reserve driver will get the spot.
SERVER
The prequal server will run from 23rd September 2pm CEST to 30th September 2pm CEST (the last session won’t go to the end but will be stopped at 2pm)
The name of the server and its password will be available for the drivers in the « RACES » tab here on the SimGrid page.
Another unofficial server will be available as a practice server for the drivers to train and try different cars. There will be no tracker for this server as it is considered as a training even for the reserve drivers.
Its name will be : Prequaly without entrylist - eFaster Cup - Silverstone
Password : withoutentry
SETTINGS
Track : Silverstone 🏴
Time & weather : Afternoon & Dry
Track condition : Fixed (grip level and temperatures will be the same at any point)
RETAINED LAPTIMES
Only laptimes done in the official prequal server will count.
A tracker is set for this server so an updated classification will be available all week.
CAR
The tracker on the server will only show the best laptimes by a driver no matter which car has been used to make this laptime. It is impossible to delete a laptime from the tracker.
The car that will be used to make the fastest laptime will be the car that the driver will have to use for the whole championship (you may need to manage your registration to change the car if it is the case)
To avoid having to go through that, a training server will be available to test out other cars and see which one is the best for your driving style. Remember that the car you will use to make your fastest lap will be the one you will have to drive for the whole championship.
