More Female Racers Powered by Mercedes-AMG is a championship series all about getting more female racers into the world of sim racing!
This will be the 5th season of a successful campaign where we have seen new female racers come in to have their first ever experience of sim racing, we have see those with experience coming in and improve and we have seen females teaming up together to become SimGrid Endurance Cup Split 3 champions and go on to race in the SRO Esports series globally!
Season 5 introduces an all-new format! Shorter races designed to encourage more action on track as well as driver taking part solo to encourage ex-co-drivers to take up the role of engineer. Season 5 will also be another spec-series, this time driving the mighty Mercedes-AMG GT4.
To register for More Female Racers - Season 5, simply click the "Register" button. On the next screen you choose your car and car #.
Once registered you can proceed to join the servers and get ready for some racing!
All drivers that register for More Female Racers must agree to abide by the Sporting Code and Terms & Conditions of the series.
Once you have registered to the series, all drivers will need to set laps on the qualification server. The server will run from Monday 10th 15:00 BST - Friday 21st October 17:00 BST.
The qualifying will be held at Nurburgring, the same track as Round 1 of the series.
Drivers will be required to set a minimum of 10 valid laps at the track in the Mercedes-AMG GT4.
Drivers will be sorted into the leaderboard based on an average of their 10 best laps. Using this data, each driver will then be allocated to a class.
NOTE: During the championship, a driver may be reclassified at any time, and the points will be recalculated as if the driver had always been in their new class.
NOTE: The finishing positions determine the starting grid for Race 2.
NOTE: Event Timetable may be adjusted prior to championship start to account for the number of classes that are racing and require qualifying time allocation.
There will be no mandatory pit stops in any of the races.
This series will have one drop round. What this means is that each driver will be scored based on their highest 4 scoring rounds, and the worst scoring round will be dropped.
This will allow a driver to miss one of the five rounds without losing out in the championship, as the missed round would be the drop round.
This series will have both live and post-race stewarding.
Any post-race penalties applied to Race 1 will affect the result but will not affect the starting grid for Race 2.
Points System is to be finalised upon Class Allocation
The driver with the fastest lap of the race (in their class) will receive an additional +1 point.
During each round, there will be a live track vote on YouTube. The vote will feature two tracks, and the track with the most votes at the end of the stream will be the track where the next round will take place.
In the event that the vote is split 50/50, then the track will be chosen by the Series Organiser.
The vote will start shortly after the broadcast starts and will finish after post-race interviews, to ensure the drivers have time to go to the broadcast and cast their own vote.
Custom liveries made outside of the game are permitted in this series but please remember that they are not officially supported by the game developers.
If you wish to use a custom livery, the livery must follow the requirements detailed in Article 1 of the Terms & Conditions.
The required logos can be found in the Assets folder, available in the Discord channel titled "Custom Livery Assets".
Races will be live streamed on YouTube and custom liveries can be shared in a dedicated channel on discord for the stream broadcaster to run.
Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see the driver banned from the series.
