SRL Touring Series – Official Rules

1. General Rules

- The SRL Touring Series is a 10-week TCR championship on iRacing, held on Fridays at 7 PM BST starting April 25th.

- The series focuses on competitive, fair racing while remaining accessible by using primarily free tracks.

- Live stewarding ensures clean racing, with post-race reviews for additional penalties.

2. Race Format

- Each round consists of the following session structure:

- Qualifying: 12 minutes (group)

- Race: 40 minutes 

- Start Type: Standing Start

- Setup: Fixed Setups

- Pit Stops: A single mandatory stop within a 4-5 minute window during the race. If a race is declared wet before or during an event, this rule is void.

- Weather: Dynamic weather, announced 48 hours before each event.

- Track Conditions: Carry-over (Marbles cleaned before each session).

3. Stewarding & Penalties

- Hybrid StewardingMajor or obvious incidents are penalized in-race by live stewards.

- Other infractions are reviewed post-race, with penalties issued within 48 hours.

- Incident Limits: 25x incident limit before a Drive-Through penalty.

- Every 10x additional incidents result in another penalty.

- These limits are in place to prevent track limits abuse and will be reviewed and applied by our team, contact penalties will be reviewed and applied manually.

Penalty System:

-Warnings, time penalties, drive-throughs, or disqualifications based on severity.

Appeals:

- Drivers may appeal penalties within 3 hours after the race.

- Final stewarding decisions will be issued within 48 hours.

4. Conduct & Sportsmanship

- Respectful Racing: Drivers must maintain fair racing standards at all times.

- No Intentional Contact: Intentional wrecking or reckless driving will result in severe penalties.

- Communication: Abusive language or unsportsmanlike behaviour in chat, Discord, or broadcasts is strictly prohibited.

- On-Track Behaviour: Blocking, divebombing, or unsafely re-joining the track will be reviewed for penalties.

5. Entry & Withdrawal

- Open to all iRacing members—both full-season and part-time participation is allowed.

- Drivers must declare their full-time or part-time status to the organizers.

- If a driver needs to withdraw from the season, they must inform the organizers as soon as possible.

6. Broadcasting & Media

- All races are broadcast live on YouTube, providing coverage of the championship to the wider sim racing community.

Custom Liveries:

- Drivers are encouraged to use Trading Paints for custom liveries.

Promotion & Community Engagement:

Race highlights, recaps, and key announcements will be shared via social media and Discord.

Drivers may be interviewed post-race as part of the broadcast coverage.
