Racing Rules & Etiquette
Overtaking
To claim position in a corner, you must have substantial overlap before turn-in.
The outside driver must be given space through the entire corner.
The inside driver must also be given space through the corner.
Unsafe dive-bombing (barge passing) is not allowed.
If the leading driver makes a significant mistake, a trailing driver may attempt a pass with caution.
On straights, the leading driver may make one defensive move and one return move unless the trailing car has overlap.
The leading driver may take any line through a corner unless an opponent has overlap.
Lapping
Blue flags indicate a faster car is lapping you; allow them to pass safely.
Lapping drivers must overtake carefully and not force lapped cars off track.
Lapped drivers should not defend and should move aside when safe.
Contact
Contact may happen, but avoidable incidents must be acknowledged.
If you cause an incident, give the position back if possible.
If you cause a crash and suffer most, you cannot claim compensation.
Expect different braking zones and drive to avoid collisions.
The following driver must avoid rear-ending the car ahead.
Brake-checking or unnecessary slowing is strictly forbidden.
After an Incident
Rejoining drivers must not interfere with on-track traffic.
On-track drivers have priority over rejoining cars.
You only regain right of way once at racing speed.
Use mirrors and in-game tools to check for traffic before rejoining.
If stopped on track, hold brakes and do not move.
If safe, rejoin after traffic has passed
Severely damaged and uncontrollable cars should tow to the pits.
Damaged cars have no right of way while recovering.
Stewards' decisions are final. Please refrain from contacting Admins or Stewards to dispute rulings.
