Leaderboards
There will be 2 leaderboards: 1 for individual driver by class, and 1 for teams, also by class (PRO, PRO-AM, AM, ROOKIE)
QUALIFYING sessions
- In game chat should not be used during the session
- It is always the car behind who has the responsibility to make a gap ahead before starting a lap. Any driver who ruins a valid lap of a car ahead of them by attempting an overtake can be reported and penalised
- Not allowed to use off track surfaces to get an advantage before/during your lap.
- Pit exit: The car on track has right of way on the pit exit. It's down to the car leaving the pits to not block/hinder the car on a valid lap. This can be reported and penalised.
RACE sessions
- Blue flags - If a car makes a move to overtake a car under blue flags, the slower car must yield. There is no requirement for a slower car to immediately jump out of the way once the faster car is within a certain distance/time. Courtesy is expected from both parties.
- Pit Exit/Entry: The car coming out of the pits has the right to rejoin the track within the white lines, cars on track should provide the space to the car leaving the pits. We will not be policing the pit entry/exit, however, if the car going into or leaving the pits crosses the entry/exit line and performs a dangerous manoeuvre or causes a collision, they can be reported and penalised.
- In game chat should not be used during the session, especially at the end of the race. Wait until all drivers have crossed the line before commenting
PIT STOPS
- There will be a mandatory pit-stop, fixed minimum time of 25 seconds (1L minimum refuel)
CHAMPIONSHIP scoring
- Fastest lap: +1 point for the driver with the fastest lap
- Any drivers tied on points at the end of the event will have their final league position decided by most wins, second places, etc.
- This is a community league, and real life happens, but please do your best to attend as many rounds as you can.
STEWARDING
- All incidents during qualy and race sessions must be manually reported by the Driver in SimGrid ("Races" tab > "Report Incident"). Incidents not reported will not be reviewed.
- Stewards will have access to the event replay - providing video evidence of the incident is optional, not mandatory
- Side by side = Back wheels to Front wheels. If there is a car side by side with you, you must leave that car enough space within track limits at all times
- Post-race time penalties to be applied depending on severity (5s - 90s).
- All Stewards decisions are announced in a specific channel in our Discord Server (Category: SIMGRID; Channel: stewarding). These decisions are final - no appeal.
CHANGING CAR MID-SEASON
- Changing car after the start of the event will not be possible
