The Championship is open exclusively to members and veterans of the UK Armed Forces. Applications for registrations must be coordinated through the SimGrid platform. The organisers reserve the right to invite celebrities and civilian guests who will bring benefit to the competition and it’s profile. Foreign military forces, such as US forces may be permitted to enter at the organisers discretion.
A technical partner will broadcast the applicable race events for a 1-hour period with the broadcast starting towards the end of the qualifying session at 2000hrs (UK local time). All competitors are to ensure they’re logged into the league server and joined the appropriate Discord group with sufficient time for the event, no later than 1940hrs.
No competitor is permitted to stream their race activity if they include the private chat from Discord. The private chat within Discord must not be broadcast.
The events will be run with a fixed setup using GT4 vehicles in a single class.
Drivers will be grouped into teams based on their background and introduction to the Championship. Teams will score team points whilst drivers score individual points. Team liveries will be locked by the organisers after the media event for the stream. The drivers able to score points for their team will be limited by the size of the smallest team. Veterans will be placed in their own team.
2x weekly scores will be dropped, the final Championship total will be the best 8x rounds of points finishes across the season. This is to allow competitors 2 full weeks of absence from the championship due to shifts/deployments, or low-scoring rounds.
An additional point will be awarded for setting the fastest lap of each race; each race entrant is eligible no matter where they finish. Double points will be awarded for longer races.
Incident points in iRacing will introduce a drive-through penalty at 17x and every 10x thereafter.
Liveries will be free choice but preferably respective Single Service branding should be visible. Commercial liveries showing sponsors, or derivatives thereof will not be allowed without prior approval from the Organisers. Service or Veteran related logos are permitted. All liveries will be uploaded to the Google Drive folder made available within the discord server and will be vetted before week one, if a suitable livery is not uploaded then the organisation will provide one. A decal layer of official sponsors will be added to each livery, details will be provided in the Discord server.
