We are please to announce the first ever Slow Poke Racing South Africa World Championship Ultimate Driver Christmas Challenge.
This is a non-serious event aimed at bringing the SA sim racing community together in the run up to Christmas. Fun is the only option!
Highlights include:
- 6 Races over the Christmas/New Year period
- Short races - the whole race day will take no more than 60mins (this excludes an additional 60min practice session that will start BEFORE the advertised race time for those wanting to warm up)
- Free Content Only
- Handicapped Scoring System based on IR - the lower your IR, the more points you will score
- Races across all iRacing disciplines – road, formula, oval, dirt oval, dirt
- $65 prize pool (iRacing credits)
- Post race stewarding and penalty allocation will be done immediately after the race - participants will review events together and vote on penalties.
The overall champion will be crowned the 2024 Slow Poke Ultimate Driver (SPUD)!!
Along with the financial prize, the winner will receive server hero status as our Slow Poke Supreme SPUD with a dedicated role and server colour.
This is a TURN UP AND DRIVE championship. As long as you are a member of our Discord you can join any/all/as many of the races as you want. Therefore it is also a first come, first race championship.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:
1. This event is aimed at South African Sim Racers Only. You do not have to be residing in SA to participate. Accent checks will be conducted!
2. This event will be run through our discord sever as you cannot use different cars in one Simgrid championship! However sign up on Simgrid as we will manually update results.
3. Sign up to simgrid with any car class, this does not matter as we will manage it in our discord. CHECK OUT THE RULES SECTION FOR FULL TRACK/CAR RACE LIST
