✍️ Event Details:
The SOP Motorsports iRacing Mazda MX-5 Cup Series will begin at 8 pm UK time every single round. There will be a 15-minute practice session, followed by a 10-minute qualifying session and a 40-minute race. You will be required to complete one mandatory pitstop for fuel. Tyres are optional. There will be unlimited fast repairs in case you pick up damage during the event, but there will be an 18x limit on penalty points, at this point you will pick up a penalty to serve, and you'll then get a penalty for every 5x after that. The series will run with fixed setups at every round. Along with limited fuel to ensure you need to stop. Finally, the series will adopt 1 drop round across the series, meaning your worst scoring round is not included in the final standings.
👨✈️ Stewarding:
All in-game penalties will stand in this series, so if you get a black flag for any reason during the races they will stand. Stewards reserve the right to penalise drivers during the events if they see any unsporting behaviour on track.
Any form of intentional wrecking will see a driver disqualified from the championship entirely. Whilst we know crashes can happen, especially if drivers are new to the platform or are rookies, we have a zero-tolerance policy of doing it intentionally.
