If you’re convinced you’re driving the same lines as the pros and still not as fast, Delta 3.5 reveals exactly where time slips away.
Welcome to the grand finale of the Delta Racing League World Challenge 2024 series! This event is open for any participants and finishing positions will be tallied toward the World Challenge championship to crown the Pro and AM champions.
To participate, drivers must be verified on DRL's Discord - Link here: DRL Discord server. Become familiar with our #rules, and check "Channels & Roles" within the DRL Discord to assign the Endurance role.
DRL requires all drivers have a minimum SA requirement of 50.
If the grid is full, we will remove unverified teams to make space for those on the waitlist who have been verified.
Delta Racing League is a relaxed sim racing community that emphasizes discussion and friendly attitudes. At DRL you will find beginners and veterans alike can race together, improve, banter, and - most importantly - have fun with a hobby we all share!
Server: [drlna] Delta Racing League | 3 Hours of Spa
Password: See Discord Endurance, race-day-info for the server password on the day of the race.
During the week before the race, the server will be used as a practice server with settings comparable to those during the race, along with a select few days to practice driver swaps.
We expect a mix of drivers from around the world and everyone is welcome to participate. However, we do require your ping to be good enough to not lead to dangerous lagging around other drivers. Be sure to log into the practice server prior to the event start to see if latency is tolerable.
Please check the #rules channel in our discord, there is a link to the full rulebook via the #rules channel.
There will be live stewarding for this event. Delta Racing League uses ACC Race Control developed by Leonard SchĂĽngel. The program allows stewards to review all incidents of contact between cars on track. This will greatly help out solo driver teams who previously have been unable to submit incident reports while driving.
DRL strives to bring the action back to drivers following races, and to your friends and families to cheer you on while participating in the rig. The ever-talented Moose McAdams and Adam Santana will be in the booth, heading the live broadcast on the DRL YouTube Channel!
Drivers already participating in World Challenge will be designated as the class they participated in for the last season. New drivers should contact the discord page if they don't know what category they should register under. Note all points are shared between classes for this event; the class banner is just a distinction to help other drivers know your experience and comfort behind the wheel. Our Iron Driver Category is reserved for drivers who will be partaking in the 3 hours solo. They will be flying under the Silver driver tag.
The world challenge championship is scored by each Season and Endurance events final finishing position. Two Driver Teams will receive the same score as drivers competing solo. Do not be afraid to team up with another driver, however you might not want to team up with someone you are fighting in the championship standings since you won't be gaining any points on them.
Both practice and qualifying sessions will be held prior to the race start at the advertised time (8pm ET). Qualifying will not be split between AM/Pro classes, qualifying will be open for all drivers to set a valid lap at the start of the session. This means drivers with various pace will be out on track together during qualifying - build a buffer between you and your fellow drivers. Passing other drivers during qualifying is not permitted, unless a driver pulls off and forfeits their track position. Impeding others on track can result in a pit-lane start and a DSQ from qualifying.
Teams will have access to 50 dry tire sets and unlimited wet tire sets to be used across practice, qualification, and the race. Maximum driver stint time will be 50 minutes (ensuring a 3 stop minimum) with Teams limited to 1-2 drivers each.
As we hope most of you are aware, there are some peculiarities with ACC endurance racing. Specifically, it is vital that drivers join in the correct order. Driver #1 must join the server before anyone else, with preceding drivers joining 30 seconds to 1 minute later. If you fail to do so, you risk breaking your team's entry in the server and you won't be able to participate in the race.
If this is your first endurance race, please read up on instructions and you should be fine. Note that we will not restart the server to reset your entry if you break it.
DRL Manages Liveries through the Awesome-Simracing app. Instructions on how to upload and download liveries is provided here. Please adhere to DRL's Code of conduct rules when designing your livery. When in doubt - if it isn't PG-13, leave it out.
If you want to support Delta Racing League, we have a Patreon page. The proceeds are only used to cover server costs--all officials and stewards are volunteer.
