SRC World Endurance Championship Rules

Overview:
The SRC - World Endurance Championship is a competitive series spanning six rounds, featuring multiple classes of cars on the same track. This championship aims to showcase skill, strategy, and sportsmanship across various classes, offering thrilling racing action for drivers and spectators alike.
Championship Format:
- Rounds: Six rounds spread over a season.
- Points System: Points will be awarded based on finishing positions in each race plus 2 bonus points for the fastest lap.
Event Schedule:
- Practice Session: 19:00 PM - 20:00 PM
- Qualifying Session: 20:00 PM - 20:20 PM
- Race: 20:30 PM - 22:00 PM*
*Bar Special Event Round 6 20:35 PM - 22-35 PM
Qualifying Rules:
1. Session Duration: 20 minutes.
2. Track Limits: Exceeding track limits will result in lap invalidation. All four wheels must remain within track boundaries.
3. Blue Flags: Slower cars must yield to faster cars on a hot lap when shown the blue flag.
4. Pit Lane Etiquette: Observe pit lane speed limits and follow proper entry and exit protocols to avoid penalties.
Race Rules:
1. Open strategy - No Mandatory Pitstop
2. Blue flags etiquette - Cars being lapped have must let the car behind through in a safe and controlled manner on the next available straight when the car behind gets within 0.5s
3. GT3 Vs GT4 - Both car categories are running their own race so when GT3 find themselves inevitably coming up to GT4 cars it is down to you to ensure a you get passed as safely as possible. At certain tracks we may impose certain limits as to where you can pass the other tier cars for safety purposes.
Stewarding:
1. Incident Reporting: Drivers can report incidents via designated Discord channel.
2. Penalties: Stewards impose penalties for infractions:
- Time penalties
- Licence penalty points
- Disqualification for severe conduct breaches.
3. Appeals: Appeals available for 24 hours post penalty. Decisions before final results are published.
Championship Regulations:
- Safety: Respect for drivers, ensuring track safety.
- Fair Play: Prohibited aggressive driving, intentional blocking, unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Communication: Race updates, steward announcements, driver briefings via open channels.
