Welcome to PosPer GT2 Season 1! This 5-round series features cars from the GT2 pack in Assetto Corsa Competizione. Custom liveries are encouraged, and details for each round will be posted ahead of time.
Drivers of all skill levels are welcome, whether you’re new or experienced. Categories for Pro, Silver, and Am will be based on previous season results. New drivers should contact an admin for classification.
Round 1: 14/11/24 - Suzuka (45 min, no mandatory stop)
Round 2: 28/11/24 - Zandvoort (45 min, no mandatory stop)
Round 3: 12/12/24 - COTA (45 min, no mandatory stop)
Round 4: 09/01/25 - Silverstone (45 min, no mandatory stop)
Round 5: 23/01/25 - Nordschleife (75 min, no mandatory stop)
Top 10 Session: Qualifying is divided into two parts.
The first 15 minutes are for all drivers to set a lap time.
The remaining 10 minutes are for the top 10 drivers only, allowing them to improve their lap times.
The qualifying session will be set to 30 minutes in total. Admins will notify drivers via in-game chat when to come in or go out.
The final round at Nordschleife will not follow this format; all drivers will participate for the full qualifying duration.
Car Selection: Only cars from the GT2 class in Assetto Corsa Competizione are eligible.
Car Changes: Drivers may change cars once per season but will incur a 50-point penalty. Changes must be submitted at least 1 hour before the race start.
Sign-Out: If unable to attend a round, drivers must sign out via SimGrid at least 1 hour before the event starts. Failure to sign out may result in deletion from the entry list.
Reserve List: A reserve list will be active for each race. Admins will notify reserve drivers no less than 30 minutes before FP1.
Sign-Out Limits: Drivers may sign out of a maximum of 2 events per season.
Drivers will be placed into Pro, Silver, or Am categories based on previous results. New drivers should contact an admin for placement.
Respect on Track: While sim racing is different from real-world motorsport, we still expect clean and respectful driving.
Redressing: If you gain a position through contact, you are expected to give the position back.
Lap One: Be cautious on lap one. Big grids often result in close racing, so take extra care, especially in the first corner.
This season will use the Pitskill.io Balance of Performance system, with a BOP file to be made available before Round 1.
Due to the casual nature of this series, stewarding will be handled by a single admin. Drivers are encouraged to review incidents thoroughly before submitting protests. Contact the admin if you have any questions regarding the decisions.
The following penalties are available to the admin:
Warning
Race License Penalty Points
Race Position Penalty
Championship Points Deduction
Race Disqualification
Ballast Penalty (when possible in the sim)
Race Ban
Championship Ban
Permanent Ban from Positive Perception
Protest forms will be available in the #protest-form-all-events channel in Discord.
All protests must be submitted within 24 hours of race completion.
Review incidents calmly and from both perspectives before filing a protest.
Lapped Traffic: Slower cars should remain on the racing line when being lapped. It’s the faster car’s responsibility to make a clean pass.
Obey Blue Flags: Allow faster cars through at the earliest, safest opportunity, and make your driving as predictable as possible.
Qualifying: Drivers must leave space for clean laps. If a car behind is on a hot lap, pull off the racing line if you’re not. Deliberate failure to set a qualifying time may result in a drive-through or Stop & Go penalty. Drivers who are both on hot laps; the car behind should yield and not overtake.
Pit Stops: Obey pit entry/exit lines and speed limits.
Race Communication: In-game text chat is not allowed during sessions until all cars have finished. Wait for admin messages before using chat.
Weather Settings: Weather will be posted before each round to allow preparation.
The practice server will replicate race server conditions.
The server will be locked after qualifying ends, and drivers will not be able to join once the race has started.
We partner with Awesome Sim Racing (ASR) for custom liveries. Upload your liveries to the ASR website, under the appropriate Positive Perception league. Explicit content on liveries is not permitted. Liveries will be shown on live broadcasts.
1st: 30 points
2nd: 26 points
3rd: 24 points
4th: 22 points
5th: 20 points
6th: 19 points … 25th: 1 point
Only your best 4 rounds will count towards the final championship standings. Ties will be decided by highest single-round scores, followed by qualifying averages.
Drivers are encouraged to join the server before qualifying to reduce lag spikes from custom liveries. Though optional, using liveries adds to the experience—just be aware that lag may occur when drivers with custom liveries join mid-session.
A 5-minute break will be given after qualifying for drivers to prepare for the race.
