In General:
- Low participant numbers:
- For any race, if there are 4 or less competitors in the race lobby at the end of qualifying:
- A discussion will be had between those who turn up either via discord chat or Race-Chat on Discord. It will be agreed whether to run the race in full or a shortened program.
- The only competitors who will be eligible to score points are the competitors on the server at the end of the qualifying session.
- If agreed:
- The Server will be rebooted with a single 5 minute qualifying session and a 10 minute race.
- The event will commence as per the new configuration, with points awarded accordingly.
- Any other racers who join after the new server configuration is set will be manually set as a DNF
- If not agreed, the event will run as per normal
- The intent of this rule is to reward competitors who still turn up to race.
- Red Flag Procedure:
- If there is an issue with a server, whether it is a configuration issue, or a server disconnection that effects ALL entrants, a Red Flag will be declared.
- The Procedure is as follows:
- If the issue happens prior to the end of qualifying, the practice and or qualifying sessions may be shortened. The race length will be left the same. Any results from qualifying sessions that are underway will be discarded.
- When the server is restarted, drivers can reconnect and complete any outstanding sessions as normal
- If the issue happens at the end of qualifying or during the race, the race distance may also be shortened.
- Drivers are asked to remember or assist in creating a list of the qualifying positions or current race positions if the race had commenced. This will be published on Discord.
- The server will be reconfigured to remove any qualifying sessions and add 5 minute practice session, which allows the drivers to reconnect. The race length may be shortened if needed.
- When the server is restarted, the the drivers are to then join in order of qualifying as requested via via discord chat or Race-Chat on Discord. All drivers must join in the 5 minute practice window. Drivers are to advise when they have connected
- The race will then start as normal. The final result of the restarted race is the only results used.
- If there are continual server issues, the race may be abandoned and no points will be awarded.
